If you want 225mm spacers chopshop know a man who can Continental tyres aint cheap, but they have a hard wearing compound, so could work out cheaper in the long run and are amazing in the dry and wet weather. Z badges- there is a member on this forum that sells them on ebay. He lives in Worcester. He can also supply the ali vent trims as well.

Nope, it runs from when your first car needs insurance and the second runs pro-rata for the remainder of the year. Then the next year they both run together. I had to do this last year. Thats sounds ok. Will definitely be going for a multi car policy this year. I phoned Chris Knott earlier, and they said they don't offer the multi car policy, but will offer a discount on a second car. Had this deal with A-Plan last year, but they stitched me up when i had to renew!! they wanted more money for the citroen shed than the Zed!!! Go figure

You can clean the inside of the throttle body with thinners or petrol. I took my throttle body off and just poured it around the inside edge, the gunk just washed away. Easy job and well worth doing

The scorpion exhaust is very good quality, and might be my next choice of exhaust if my Fujitsubo system ever fails. Don't be put off by the price, Scorpion sell exhausts at realistic prices, not like nissan and a lot of other aftermarket manufacturers that put a ridiculous mark up on their systems, because of the type of car they are fitted too!!!

Thats a great offer from Admiral. I really want to get a multi-car policy but my due dates for each car run in May for the Zed and september for the citroen work horse. Would i have to cancel 1 policy and reinstate it on a new 'multi' policy, or add it on when the insurance is due? Any thoughts?

If its only light kerbing, you could get the 4 done for less than £100 as a repair. Otherwise a full refurb will cost around £300. Or get some stratos paint, primer, laquer, wet & dry and some masking tape and do it yourself for less than £30

My bolts were a bitch to undo, but with the right size bit connected to a ratchet, it undone easily. Don't bother with an allen key!!

Ok, for those who are playing around with their throttle bodies, i've just rung nissan and ordered a new gasket. Costing just over a fiver with the VAT, it'll be with me tomorrow morning. My old gasket looks ok but i think its worth changing for peace of mind.

Didn't think of that. I haven't replaced the gasket yet, but i might give nissan a ring and order one.

The first time i took mine off i did move the butterfly to clean it but when i refitted it, i had no problems at all. Everything worked fine Must off been lucky i guess, certainly didn't move it this time, thats a fact.

Very talented guy, he's done a great job on that. It took me all week, 2 different companies and cost twice the price to get a decent job done. Will have to find a better polisher thats for sure.

Thanks for that Adam, does that mean i will get less of an improvement fitting it to an older model like mine? Would i be better off just fitting my spacer instead?

Did you read the other thread? that is a cracking price and i'm sure they can polish the bolt recesses for not a lot more. If only i can find a decent company with a quick turn over, and that sort of price. 4 hours to polish it though that seems a bit optimistic

Thats a brilliant price but i cant see the pics. How did they polish it so quick? The first company who did mine took all day and didn't do a thorough job, and the second company took 5 hrs to finish it!!!

Could be looking at a fortnight if i get the old plenum back before next weekend. Prices are up to a 100 quid unfortunately due to under pricing by the polishers!!! A lot more labour intensive than they thought

Here's a pic of the first polished plenum. On its way to its new owner as we speak. I had problems with the first polishing company, they didn't do a thorough job of it and i took it to another company who finished it off. Left me slightly out of pocket but lessons were learned. May have to find another company to do the job as they told me it was more labour intensive than they imagined!! So the price will have to go up to at least a 100 quid! if not slightly more, unfortunately. Personally i would powder coat my plenum, quicker turnaround, easier to keep clean and less bl@@dy hassle. As i said before the other alternative is to shot blast the plenum, this makes it look brand new, and is the cheapest option at only 40 quid plus postage.
