I think that front bumper is hideous. Sorry.

I may be able to come along to one - slight trek for myself, but Id like to get to a few of the regional meets. If anyone else is thinking of setting up regular regional meets, perhaps best to pick differing weekends of the month, that way they wont all clash, alowing those who want to clock up the miles to get to more than one regional meet. Great idea choptop I may be able to make the 1st July meet - will confirm later.

*cough* hypocrit *cough* If anyone is wondering why your quote buttons have disspeared on any posts Mike has replied to, scroll a couple of feet to the right and you'll find em. But the pics worth it though!

All part of the service to you guys

I think it was something like 110 tall or something - the original will still be on your photobucket account. I had a session of checking the properties for all sig pics and resizing for people - thought it was easier than just loking mean and asking people to change Dont take any notice of what Mike says about sig pic sizes HOW WIDE MIKE?? It is a nice pic though

Nope - not 3. Make it 4... In Chesterfield Saturday about mid day ish. At the roundabout with traffic lights just past the delivery office (opposite side of the roundabout from B&Q). You took the first left and headed down toward PC world etc. I was paked right next to you at the lights, but didnt try to get your attention as I was in the Altea and not sure if you woul recognise me! -
Correct. Notice where yours is hosted at the moment Zedrush I went round trying to spot sig pictures that were above 500x100 and resized them all, and re-hosted on my photobucket account so people wouldnt notice the difference (im generous like that you see ) - im hosting half a dozen or more Feel free to put it on your photobucket now if you like

The main problem for me with these type of cars, is that to anyone not in the know, they look like a standard CLK thats been on a trip to halfords. I think it looks ok myself, and I bet the power is quite awesome, but its still a CLK - albeit a very fast, very rare and very different looking CLK.

Front and rear Z Badges in SATIN back in stock

Seems the glue/sticky pads were a bit of a pain to get off on mine! You can do it much quicker if you rush the job, but thats how the things get put on upside down. -
Funny you should say that - I got a leaflet through from that chap - dont know if they have been spotting cars which may want the service in the area or whether it was a blanket leaflt drop. Also had an email on the forum offering his services - nice to see there is a member with some experience of his services - we should be in touch with him soon.
-
Goose - check your email - I have dealt with that dealership and also have some vouchers which you can take with you and receive some cash back, may be enough to get the first mod done Good luck

Better safe than sorry though. All it would take is one of the other lads to get into a serious accident, and those parents may wish they had taken a similar stance to your own.

Hardly noticeable now after the wax has been put on, but if they do start to become more noticeable Ill sort them. Its the swirls on the new altea that arenoticeable - about a month or so old and its swirled to buggery but as I wipe in a straight line, they must have been there from the factory or from the dealer washing it before my pickup. Its the workhorse though, so it doesnt bother me that much.

Dirty again. Long weekend coming up, so may get chance to wash it again.

Search listings and Icons
Chesterfield replied to Zedrush's topic in Forum IT Issues & Bug Reporting
yes the icons to the side need switching around I think. There are two lots of distinct "pairs" where one could be dropped and replace with a more commonly used icon. and for example - perhaps not both of these are needed Also and - one of those will do. nother option would be to create a scrolling box to the left so that you can click any icon from the fast reply or reply section, and do away with the "view more" section. Though that would probably take a little longer to do. -
Search listings and Icons
Chesterfield replied to Zedrush's topic in Forum IT Issues & Bug Reporting
Yes - the search functionality with this software is a bit limited. Ill add it to my list of things to fix/add. More advanced search functionality would be an advantage, as it is simple SQL query, there should be add ons available to sort this. The recent topics search is damned annoying, but we are still awaiting an update to that particular add on to fix the issue. Being able to distinguish between "all users posts" and all users "topics" would also be helpful - and would have made Zedrush's task a lot easier. Ill see what can be done to fix/add these. -
Front and rear Z Badges in SATIN back in stock
Chesterfield replied to JDM Performance's topic in Member Traders
This is how Ive done it twice. Hairdryer - low-medium heat for a breif period, just to try and get the glue tacky (whether it really helps or not I dont know). Then use dental floss as a cheesewire to "cut" them off. Ensure you angle the dental floss such that it does NOT run against the bodywork, just the bade itself. (tricky on the front, but just be patient). It may take half a roll of dental floss depending on how strong it is, and it may also take a while - just be patient. Once the badge is off, you have some majory picking at the leftover sticky glue/pad to do, dont rub and rub at it with your thumbs/fingers - unless you have super hard fingers or enjoy blisters for a week. - Use your nail (carefuly) and again it will take a while. Also, applying furniture polish and allowing it to soak into the sticky foam then rubbing with a cloth will make removing the leftover easier - just wipe any excess polish from the bodywork whilst allowing it to soak into the foam. On the rear badge, before you start I would advise marking the position of the badge by placing masking tape either side and marking points on the masking tape with a pencil. That way you know the new badge will be lined up in the centre without trying to guess it - or measure from either side of the boot. All in - give yourself 1.5 hours to chage these including making a good job of picking off all the leftover sticky pad/glue from the car left by the existing Nissan badges. -
If that is the one that is being looked at, then I can THOROUGHLY reccomend that dealership. Excellent service and a pleasure to buy from. If it werent on the south coast I'd take mine there for its services. No prizes in guessing where mine came from now Sarnie, and I see that they have a loveley 05 Azure roadster, with chrome grill, Z badges, and forum sticker pre installed for some lucky customer Still miss it from time to time.

Ahh - thats where you were when I popped round earlier. Just kidding, havent been round but would have to have a look. Ive got the pleasure of having the Z today too
-
Good idea!
-
Incredible - why store that for so long? On another note, by storing it for so long, they have put the thing into the "unlucky" bracket of band G car tax - had it been registered in 05, it would be band F like most GT4's.
-
You could put it on a file sharing site and just PM people the link, that way ots not really in the public domain, and can be removed once people have it.
-
Missed it - by the time the post was made - there was no one in at home to set it. Tried rewinding our hard disk recorder when I got home (as it often records for hours on end) as it was on the right chanel, but it didnt go back far enough.

The item you have linked to on ebay Liam is a Modem router - which means it has the ADSL (broadband) modem built into it. In short, your phone line will plug into the router, and your laptop will pick up the signal from your router (consider it a modem that can send the signal to your laptop via wireless). You should not need to make any changes on your tiscali account. I assume at present you have your laptop configured with a connection that has a username and password which you use to ge the modem to connect to tiscali. All you will need to do is put that username and password into the software that is on the router. Instead of your laptop telling the modem what username and password to use, the router has its own software built in that holds that information. The instructions that come with that particular router are quite easy to follow - and I have the exact same router if you get stuck.
