Why doesn't anyone use the 'Chat Room' feature??
Chesterfield replied to Neil's topic in 350Z General
Its a question that often pops up - its there for people who may want to initiate a chat without clogging the forums, but people can just use ICQ or MSN messenger, its probably not used that much at all, but we keep it so that for the odd occasion when people may require it, its there. -
I think the idea of smaller groups is good, however I do like the idea of having one big convoy at at least one point during the day - though the location of said convoy would need to be carefully selected in order to avoid junctions etc where we could esily be split up. Having them all lined up in one spot was also a fantastic photo oppoertunity. Any treasure hunt etc needs to be carefully planned too, if there were any prizes etc it should be for accuracy of points visited, or number of clues located rather than the speed at which it is completed to avoid any pottential racing. All great ideas though

Its the site - and the server. The software is US, so no daylight saving - which means that users have to adjust their profiles to GMT+1, however, the server itself seems not to have implemented GMT+1 either, which effectively puts members times out by 2 hours. If you enter your profile and change the closk to GMT+2 everything will be fine - until we sort out an automated method of doing this for all users.

Glad you got it connected Dicky - did the one in ours last night too, but couldnt get the damn thing to make a call. Press the button, say the number, ask her to dial the number - "The number is dialled" - then nothing, just switches back to radio. I dont think I paired the phone correctly with the car though, so Ill give it another go tonight.

In my opinion the chips show up a LOT on the azure (they did on mine anyway), and any darker colour to be fair - the yellow is not to bad, but its still chips - you just cant see them at the same distance you can on the Azure. If you are taking delivery or have taken delivery of a new azure - I would certainly go for paint protection - if I got a new one, as above, it would be the first thing I did.

KARTING : Notts - Derbys & Nearby 350Zers
Chesterfield replied to jonathan73's topic in Meets, Shows and Events
Do they load up the other teams carts with half a bucket of lead to compensate for the weight disadvantage Team 350Z-UK would have if I was in a kart? Count me in - as long as I can come and see if I fit before race day! Prune juice and lettuce leaves for a week before I think. -

Locked as not to spoil the efforts of all those who worked hard to arrange this, and not to take any shine of a truly excellent day out for all who attended. Heres to the next one, and thanks again to all those who attended -

Sorry Beavis, had to remove that as I personally think it is a small minority that cause this problem not all members of the OC. Hopefully although this thread is fairly ugly to have on the forum, it may help people see a way forward that will help all 350Z owners. If all owners have access to all meets, it can only be a good thing.
-
Yes I am. I managed to ask the question on the thread though - "why was this NW meet never mentoined on the OC, yet the other site have allowed the OC's SE meet to be posted" And the response? The post was deleted and the account used to post it - yes you guessed it - banned. Anyone starting to see a pattern developing. Look at the fund the people had on the Wales drive - it was great, why do the OC have such a problem with letting other owners know about an event where they could attend and join in that fun with other owners.
-
Ive had it put to me that there were 29. and from the pics, I count no more than that either. Besides - even if the sig was wrong, what would it matter, as people on the OC are never informed of our site, so would never see it anyway. I would gladly PM them all - but clearly I cant, as: A : That would be classed as trouble making and would see me banned B : Im banned anyway I cant register another account, because if I do and it is discovered it is me - I get banned. If I regsiter an account and ask why the OC censors our site, yet we dont censor the OC - I get banned I cant register any account with any email address from my domain - as it is banned I cant view the OC from works internet server, as it is banned. I would gladly discuss this with any of the committee on the OC, but as I cant access the OC without using IP anonymizers and fake email addresses, and they seem incapable of chatting on here - we have somewhat of a stalemate situation.

Thread split for discussion: Discussion Topic Please keep this one for pics and reviews of the day -
If you say so Im sorry that it took this site claiming something larger than another to encourage you to post here. Im sure we can all be part of the worlds biggest Z meet one day, once our meets are allowed to be posted on the OC. Fancy addressing that subject in public?
-
Not seen any photos of 35 zeds at a meet, but I suppose its no surprise to see that our site claiming the largest meet has suddenly encouraged people out of the woodwork to shout "objection!" We could quite easily aim for one hundred - and we could probably have broken 50 at the Wales meet very easily, had we been allowed to advertise this meet on the other side. Perhaps once we get past that particular barrier, we can may be able to increase the numbers. I see owners asking about North West meets over on the other side - and nobody cared to let them know about this one. Way to treat a fellow owner For now though, as posted above, not to rain on anyones parade, but this was and is the largest UK 350Z meet in the UK. If we went by the "list" it would have been over 35, but we are actually going on confirmed attendees. Though of course thats not the point (though its strange how it took that very point to encourage you over here) If you want to be part of the worlds biggest Z meet, then perhaps you can start by asking why we cant advertise our meets to other owners on another site, and how the "joint" meet, deteriorated into an "OC only" meet (which has since been advertised on here I may add). On a side note Slim - If I were to post on the OC like you have done on this thread, how do you think I would be treated? Indeed I have tried this very topic of conversation and had my works IP address banned, and my email domains banned.

Sorry, but the link could have been construed as just a bit offensive, some people do view from work etc, so a link to our site filled with large bold expletive words is not really appropriate. Sorry for any dissapointment.
