  1. Probably speculating, but not realising just quite how limited their market is...
  2. Address the package to Mr & Mrs XXX and Family. The allowance is per person - a package addressed as above is assumed to be both adults and 2 children. Thus increasing the limit to £72. According to the customs & excise employees based at Parcelforce main depot when I last visited, this results in the allowance being multiplied by 4, as each person has an £18 allowance. Not a guarantee, but thats the insider info that I was given by customs when discussing the issue... Worth a try.
  3. I think most of the MY 99 XXX, where the 99 is the year and XXX is the car, such as MY 56 AMV or MY 05 ZED are £799. I think plates like this need to be sold on with the car when the time comes to be honest. We have a plate on ours which is Tracys name, and a plate on the Altea which is my name - these are interchangeable between cars so were an investment for life. A car specific plate may be a shorter term investment unless there will be a future market for other owners that may buy it.
  4. If the rumours ar true about the impending release of a 370Z, or when the Nissan GTR hits our shores, that could also have a rather negative effect on the new 350Z prices too. Ex Demos may certainly be one option, though I doubt there are many dealers ready to move on their demo car just yet. There is a discussion on buying ex demos here: http://www.350z-uk.com/forum/viewtopic ... highlight=
  5. We dont talk about depreciation round here - we like it to be a happy place. In all seriousness, depreciation on a new UK car is not great. Its not been helped by Nissan bringing out a new model 350z to the UK every 2 minutes either. The first one we bought was a 6 month old, and we got something like 4.5K off the list price, without a trade in. So the previous owner must have swallowed something like 5.5k in 6 months. Although it has to be said when buying a car like the 350Z depreciation concerns clearly cant be at the top of your list, they should still be considered. Is owning a brand new car and having the small changes on the 07 worth the depreciation? After that question is answered, the rest are just specs, colour and searching.
  6. It would explain this though.... Seems the VAG group managed to carry over the feature to the R8 too
  7. Here is a Tom Tom and 12V extenders that Tim has in his cubby. Tim has the flip "over" cover to the cubby, others are just flip "up", which dont hide away.
  8. Amazes me how we get to know about these cars AFTER they have all been sold. Where was my invitation to buy one! Im trying to decide how to spend the Christmas bonus! Is it me or does it look exactly the same as a Murcielago, but after the Judge Dred film crew have had an afternoon with it?
  9. Mikes going to make an honest woman of Karen, so has a lot on at the moment, I think the honeymoon may coincide with the meet too.
  10. Its the tools that the AA have that remove any locking wheel nut that are £100.
  11. Nope - my spares are standard rims, the Rays went with the roadster.
  12. You can join in before you get the car you know But it sometimes alters the budget as you start planning mods before the car arrives! Good luck with the search, Im sure one matching your requirements will appear soon.
  13. Nice attitude. Oh of course you would have won if you had come over Val. There is no better Zed in the land, its a true work of art - we should all be humbled and bow down in admiration. There was however a gate to the entrance which was only about 7ft wide, so may have been a bit of a squeeze getting your head into the grounds. Some of us have lives outside our Z, and dont live for winning trophies or bragging that our car got further in the show and shine than our arch rivals. It was just nice to see some shiny Z's on the day and show that myself and Jonathn were quite chuffed with our awards. A first response of (and im paraphrasing here) - "The turnout must have been poor if those @*!# Z's won" is a bit off. Would you like a new bunch of grapes, it appears the current ones you have may be slightly soured.

  17. Thats very true, but after a polite request for this to be a Z only meet, it would be nice if you could respect that instead of indulging in some ego stroking for your own self gratification though. Im sure someone will have a spare passenger seat though if you want to join in the banter and the fun xStric9x Chesterfield Zzzz...

  19. Hi sinbad, i'll check that out (is it in the events section? i'll have a look see) Here you go: Starting to get names on the list now... http://www.350z-uk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=9476
  20. Z only Liam. Feel free to do the ASW bit elsewhere.
  21. Hi - thats brilliant news!! congratulations!!! To get Rays, there are a couple of methods... Firstly, post up a wanted add on the site - there are always owners changing their wheels that may have a set they would be willing to sell. Also, keep an eye on ebay - thats where I got a set from for the last car. They have gone for up to very near the £1k price in the past, but should now be considerably lower. They wont fit in a Z if you go to pick them up though, so you'll need another vehicle to transport them in. There is a meet in the Lake district on Sunday next weekend, you could even come along and show your new car off and meet some of us! You're going to ache from the smiles after picking her up and getting through your first tank on Saturday
  22. Can we decide on the 28th and start a list of attendees? Can we better the record of 30??
