  1. Hi, I think what Val is referring to is that prior to the creation of this forum, there was an owner on the previous community site that had the unichip fitted by Dastek in 2004 and had a whole host of issues afterward. This is before my time of 350Z ownership so Im not aware of the full details, and was obviously in the infancy of 350Z tuning in the UK in 2004.
  2. I think the cagefighting contacts available on this forum would be able to rustle up some folk that would be able to have a rather pursuasive visit to the addresses of these idiots if the need ever arose..
  3. Thought I would post this up for those interested in the previous Z models and the Zedfest show held by ZClub. If you are interested in previous Z models and wish to expand your contacts of Z fans beyond our already excellent community, I couldnt reccomend a nicer bunch of folk. 4. To be honest with the amount of CATS, exhausts and intakes available for the Z, there are a whole raft of different noises that they give out. Not necessarily anything major changed under the bonnet.
  5. See Paul, you know now why Jonathan has never seen the inside of my garage when he has been round - the shame of the single bucket and yellow bath sponge would be all too much I fear. Anyway - yours did look good at the show Jonathan. I reckon it was the sun (or lack of) that let the yellow down. Did you see the owner of the beast, with the portable polisher and buffer!
  6. Brilliant pics, sounds and looks as though you all had a great time
  7. Hi, and congratulations - you'll be grinning from ear to ear when the car is finally on the drive As Mike says there are various differences between the 06 and 07 engine, and any modifictaions done to the 06 will be counteracted by the ECU, any real HP gains should only be seen if the ECU is piggybacked.
  8. We got caught in a hailstorm on the way over to Millau on a mountain road. When I say hailstorm, it was actually as though someone had opened the cargo bay doors of some plane transporting golf balls. We thought that the car was going to be dented all over due to the size and force of the things. My advice would be that if you see the first signs of a hail storm, get under a bridge sharpish, as any bigger and I think the car would have been in the panel beaters for a month! Lovely scenery though, and it should be a great trip!

  10. We popped across to San Remo whilst on the Europe tour, neither myself or Tracy were that impressed with the cities we visited in the South of France, compared to the scenery and relaxed nature of the Loire Valley. If you do travel along the south of France toward Italy, you can take in Monaco and Monte Carlo along the way which are nice though. A drive round the Grand Prix circuit at Monaco is good. The stands round near the swimming pool were still in place when we went round, as were the starting grid lines
  11. Having seen the paintwork, it looks immacualte. The sun sadly did not come out until toward the end of the day, so it was never seen in its full pearlescent glory.
  12. He said it only takes 10 minutes to clean it - I suppose dirt has a hard time finding a way in! One other chap did mention to the owner that he was waiting for the day that some part of the engine needed work or replacement Fair play though, it certainly blings! I darent use the flash when taking the pics! For fear of being sued for sending onlookers blind.
  13. At least we made the effort to turn up, sadly missed Tim who also popped along on Sunday, but left before I popped back over in the afternoon. Maybe the result would have been the same had others turned up? Suppose we will never know the answer now...
  14. 350z pictures from the day..... Click to enlarge
  15. Paul, you spent WAY too much time looking under Mr Blings bonnet on Saturday, and its starting to show.
  16. You'll get asked what it is from time to time. One Z owner who shall remain nameless confessed to almost asking me why I had a map of Australia in my window but thought it wasnt quite the right shape...
  17. Heres a few of the photos I took (trigger happy again and got about 200+)- also posted these on the Z Club, great bunch of people as always Will post up all the 350Z ones once I return later tonight Click to enlarge:
  18. Excellent pics and write up, it is a brilliant experience. I was nevous as hell when going to the entrance gate for the first time, I really do want to go back. Great town, great atmosphere, great sightseeing, and Lots of non ring related activities and places to visit too. Yes - you should get yourself one of these:
  19. Yes - I delivered Jonathans trophy last night, he was quite chuffed! At least an UY got Highly commended Yes - wax, two buckets, speed detailer, glass cleaner, autosol and whole host of microfibre cloths on the shopping list eh Paul? Ive just cut all my photos to DVD to take over to the Z club today. Ill spend this evening resizing a selection for posting up.
  20. I think its open all day, as people are camping over - yesterday was great, and Im hoping to get over again today 12:30 or 1pm ish, will be recording the GP to watch later!
  21. Fits directly over the top of the existing lip spoiler on the Z too. There will be one adorning my Z eventually
  22. As part of my previous employment I actually visited the Parcelforce main depot at Coventry. Im sorry to say, if its gone missing there, it could take some finding. The place is absolutely massive. And I do mean massive. Here is an aerial shot of the place.. The hundreds of long rectangular objects round the outside are articulated lorries. http://googlesightseeing.com/2006/12/07 ... -coventry/ The area for missing/address unknown items is "sizeable" to say the least.
  23. Good luck with future motoring Dave, and good job on the sale Im sure we will all be here for advice in the future should you feel like stopping by every now and then
