This is slowly heading in the wrong direction.....

If this isnt a cue for Tim to brag then I dont know what is......

Its either a charge for congestion or pollution - not both. The environment and all this "green" has presented political parties around the world with the bigest tax cow ever just ripe for milking. One has to wonder exactly where the money would come from if they got their way and we all drove electric cars. The closure to hybrids above seems to suggest one answer...

My soon to be father in law suffered repeated vandalism of his property, and numerous times called the police who showed little interest at all, received a visit several weks after calling each time and nothing was ever done. So he took it upon himself to take photos of the scum doing it (aged in their early teens and lower). About half an hour later he had a visit from the boys in blue as there had been reports of him taking photos of children (that were made by the parents of one of the vile little walking abortions). He got a warning not to do it again and they would see what they an do about stopping the vandalism. Well the vandalism stopped alright, but my parents in law had to move home to stop it. The parents of the scum had a talking to, which resulted in nothing being done other than a very significant increase in the amount of abuse he received as the scum (and their parents) thought it funny that the police couldn't do anything. The effects of this harrasment had other effects on my parents in law which Id rather not go into, but to give you some idea, I was very close to sorting this out with a few cash in hand rewards to to the local "travellers" if they could assist in these scumbags suddenly dissappearing. The powers that be seriously need to get a grip on these issues and should not let any hippy human rights liberty crap get in the way. Just edited to add, I dont blame the boys in blue, but the suits writing the policies and targets for the boys in blue. Im sure many joined the force to do their bit to improve society and catch criminals and they will no doubt be as depressed as anyone, if not more so, that they cant do what they hoped they could.

It shouldnt be the case that we can say "good job mines in the garage", or "glad mines boxed in". We should be able to take more appropriate measures to protect our property from these types of moron. Preferably the kind that results in their removal from the gene pool. Whats the bets that if those people were found, they get less in the way of punishment than the owner of the car would if he had a slightly mis spaced number plate. If they had been under the age of 17 they would no doubt not be named for legal reasons, given a stern telling off and asked nicely not to do it again. The best thing this country can do to get itself back in shape is disband groups like "Liberty" and its tree hugging hippy contingent, and get back to dishing out real deterents to criminals without the fear of some human rights activist chaining themselves to Downing Street.

Let me introduce myself...
Chesterfield replied to mrobinson's topic in Introductions & Welcome Messages
Hi - and welcome to the club. Great to see another new owner join an Im sure like everyone else you'll make some good friends here. As above, the Wales drive out on May 11th is a great way to meet other owners. Some other new faces are joining us on the drive out and it would be great to see many more. -
The problem is if there is only one lead car, there is no way you can keep a group of 30+ zeds together in convoy. Wrong turns are inevitable, which then leaves multiple groups aimlessly roaming around trying to find each other. Last time there were large numbers the convoy was very difficult to orgnise and ended in lots of time being spent waiting for others and searching for mobile numbers to try and get the group back together again. A big lineup of (dare I say it) 30-40 Zeds at a lakeside is certainly a sight to behold and Im sure we would like to set up the same photo opportunities, but convoy of huge numbers unless we are on very wide and very long roads without junctions is incredibly difficult. Some of the photo moments in laybys etc are great, but if the numbers are too large, the convoy simply wont fit in the layby and we risk causing annoyance to locals and authorities etc. I beleive the current plan is for some of us to get out on a recon mission in order to make sure th route is chosen to include all the sights, and ensure the roads and route are suitable for Zeds and the large convoy(s).

If its not right when you get it back, then it gets rejected. If that means they have to recondition the interior, fit new battery, new tyres, etc, then so be it. I would be asking the repairers to start putting some more pressure on the supply chain though to get your parts. Its a shame that services from almost every industry means the end users have to do most of the work and constantly chase in order to receive even a normal level of service. Still havent had my excess payment back from the insurance company, and thats at least a month after the claim was settled fully by the opposite side...

Ive got EBC Redstuff pads too. They are still sat on my workbench though, so cant comment on performance. If Mrs Chesterfield gets any more annoyed that I havent fitted them, I may be able to let you know how easy they are to catch with your gob

Also worth noting that the tollerances on the Z are an awful lot tighter than most cars, well according to the place I had mine done. And yes, I could also certainly feel the difference once done. The change should be complete with a full set of tyres tomorrow.

Misses the mark for me too, the orange just doesnt do it justice, and the other two colours (black and silver) are hardly inspiring. No right hand drive either. The new camaro has it beaten hands down in my book.
-
Try pulling up elsewhere and setting off rather than your driveway. If it does it the majority of th time, then its unlikely to be gravel/stones. Though the clicking noise could sound very much like small stones in the wheel well.

Ive just ordered a set of the Toyos. Have not read any reports on the Continentals but have read plenty on the Toyos, Falkens and Pilot Sports. If the car gets used in anything resembling wet weather then for me grip would far outweigh any concerns about road noise.
-
If the same happens here and prices hit £80k, then the depreciation will probably equal anything on record.
-
Ive seen some stupid stuff before, but those idiots really do take some beating.

Yes - dont change it to Hartlepool. besides I couldnt remember where the monkey hanging legend was from so I simply used google... Now here is a very neat trick..... open the location www.google.co.uk in your browser (think it has to be IE) type in the search box: monkey hanging land now click "Im feeling lucky"..... Now is it a good thing that the search results in that page, or bad?
-
Yes the Greddy front and sides are getting common now... Oh.. Hang on...

Hi - welcome to our fun house Ill bet you are still grinning from ear to ear You'll catch the modding bug before long you know. At first looking at the list of previously sold items I thought it was someone selling bits knicked from stolen cars, but it appears he must be some sort of breakers.

350Z urgently wanted for a Total Nissan photoshoot
Chesterfield replied to Muddy's topic in 350Z General
You have PM Craig, I can adjust my day to make it. -
True - we cant expect people to provide that info. I know its not exactly a street address, but still info that is personal. If it was made compulsory then people may just fill it with useless incorrect info. There is a member map - see links on the menu at the top, which if people use it, could help with meet arrangements etc.

Ive never had a courtesy car from Nissan - even whenthey had my roadster for a couple of weeks and still didnt get one even after they managed to order the wrong wheel for it, delaying the car for even longer (they go off the chassis number rather than actually looking what wheels are on the car). The Seat dealers seem to be able to rustle one up at short notice, so dont think its prestige brand that counts for anything - just how tight fisted the dealer network is.
