    ABS

As far as I'm aware abs does not apply brakes but the stability control will.
  3. Willbof

    ABS

Ye, zero codes though and drives normal when it's straight/gentle cornering. Just kicks in abs when I turn right
  4. mr v6

    ABS

I take it you've scanned it to verify you're on the right corner? Does look knackered that though.
  5. A pair of door handles, unmarked and ideal for colour coordinating. As most will know, the 370 had 2 differing manufacturing materials, some were all, plastic construction, others were cast aluminium frames with plastic handles, these are the latter. Both types fit exactly the same. £40 inclusive of postage. Really isn't a big job to change them over, there again not much on the Zed is.

    ABS

Coming towards the end of my restoration and I've got an issue with the brakes. New pads and discs fitted but when I turn right the abs kicks in and gets to lock the wheel up, quite scary! I've pulled the hub and sensor to take a look. Sensor looks fine but the hub has some weird marks on the abs ring. Assuming this is the issue I've ordered freshies but just wondering if anyone has seen such an issue? I'm not sure what cas causes the marks either 🤷🏻‍♂️ Car turns fine with abs disabled btw.
  7. Hey Both! I Appreciate both responses! Ye it's just the shields on the cats as the cats passed the MOT absolutely fine. I think I might find out if they can take off the shields and then go from there. I Don't use Nissan for repair work just because they're a bit to far away but I can't fault the Nissan dealer I do use, they've been unbelievable, they do stuff for free for me, get free european breakdown recovery and courtesy car. I suspect a more unique dealership than most of them though haha! Alex I may reach out depending on what the buyer wants to do and the garage as well. Thanks again, really do appreciate it!
  8. 18" Forged wheels ......by RAYS.......WITH TYRES for £400 is a bargain! GLWTS
  9. Looks like about 20 confirmed for this so far! Looking forward to this😁
  10. Yesterday
  11. As has been said, just remove the corroded heat shields, but only if they are badly corroded. Exhausts tend to rust, so general cosmetic rust does not affect its performance. Aftermarket exhaust, including Y section, is the way to go when the time comes. I am dismantling a 370 early next week, so parts will soon be available, but reading your post, it appears that replacing these parts may be unnecessary. Alex.
  12. You too Jer! Will keep you posted if I find anymore Z goodies
  13. Couple days left to go, weather looking just about lovely for us too
  14. Last week
  15. If I wanted to keep it stock, I'd rip the rotted cat shields off (they can't fail on rot then can they) and then get an exhaust from any decent exhaust centre. I wouldn't touch a Nissan dealer with a barge pole because I wouldn't want to be paying their hourly rate. If its the CATs themselves that have rotted through and not the shields, I'd buy a used pair of CATs (off ebay or someone breaking a 370z) If I'm keeping it, I'm fitting HFCs and a sports cat back £1800 ~ £2000 budget.
  16. Thanks again Mike, much appreciated, and nice to meet you 👍
  17. No I haven't, I was worried this might do something to the immobiliser. It's in the shop getting some paint repairs at the moment so won't be able to try it just yet.
  18. Items collected, mods please lock thanks mike
  19. What coilovers have you got for sale? Price and mileage on them?
  20. Hello! So slightly weird situation! So I'm selling my car (Never had any issues with it, and not in any big rush to sell it) been passing MOTs fine, Nissan filmed underneath it and it has been fine etc. Anyway had a buyer (They're still interested, I've mentioned you guys to them), buyer asked for MOT so had no issues with doing that as anything it's ever needed was done immediately. Came back with rust and specifically the cats. Now I've gone to the other garage (I use one for MOT, another for Repairs and Nissan for servicing) I use near me and they have said it's the shields on the cats as it passes emissions fine. They did say it will probably will need a new exhaust at some point in the future and again was fine with that so asked them to get a price from Nissan for full exhaust system. Nissan came back with one price I said go ahead, then Nissan said o wait that doesn't include cats and they are £1,000 each + VAT. I nearly fell of my chair (As did the garage I use). Just after an opinion on what you guys think would be best. I have kept everything OEM, but Nissan quoting £1.4k for the exhaust system (Without cats) then £1,000 each + vat for cats that seems extortionate to me. What do you reckon? Is there a cheaper place to get OEM parts or should I be looking at a different exhaust for it at this point? I'm just worried if I get high flow cats which I've looked into that it would fail an MOT but I guess wouldn't know until they're on? I assume all Mods are going to be HFC to? Literally sat here scratching my head so confused what to do! I love the car, so want to do whats best, especially for the new owner to but it's like the biggest conundrum ever. I swear the car doesn't want to leave as it blew it's radiator the second I put it up for sale and nothing has ever gone wrong with it apart from a door actuator before that!
  21. Have you tried (whilst the alarm is going off) putting the key in the ignition & turning it on?
  22. Roadster seats work in a coupe but not vice versa
  23. Hi, Looking to replace the seats in my 2006 Roadster. Ive noticed the roadset seats differ from normal coupe as it has extra buttons for tilt and when the roof goes down, the passenger seats tilts forward via motors. Im guessing the cabling is different too to accomodate the extra features. Has anyone fitted 350z non-roadster seats into a roadster and were there any probs? Thanks
  24. Hiya, unfortunately I'm not willing to undertake a 160 mile round trip to offload these. I'm moving house so clearing out all the 370Z stuff, Injen exhaust, coilovers etc, etc, will all be lost to landfill as it's too bloody difficult to sell anything these days.
  25. I'm close, not extremely close though (South Essex). I'll be at Wheels at the Warren on 7th Sept (Maldon) which will probably be the closest I'll be to Norfolk in a while. How far are you willing to travel?
  26. Looking for brackets for the front subframe as mine have failed the MOT due to corrosion. Main dealers are saying 6-8 week lead time to import from Japan so looking to see if anyone has any in the UK for sale
  27. The BC Racing would be our recommendation for budget friendly coilovers, £1188 including VAT but totally worth it and reasonably priced for a full set. BC are great, we've never had any issues nor returns. If you want to go something crazy, KW V3. Drop me a PM if you're looking for more information or wanted to go ahead with some.
