  2. Chiming in here to stop people from spinning their wheels and to actually answer a question which seems impossible in the Z community after the Z32. Fifth bow motor will not activate in the situations listed above. you can manually move the fifth bow motor after the clicking is heard. The latch is disconnected. Use a 5mm Allen head on the motor under the plastic trim. Once the fifth bow motor is lifted, you can open the trunk and release the storage compartment latches and manually open the tonneau cover. inside the tonneau cover is your problem. There is the fifth bow release actuator, the fifth bow latch, and the fifth bow auto closing actuator. your latch release IS working. That is the click after the button releases. The next step of operation is for the system to check if the auto close actuator is open or closed. Your auto close actuator motor cable may be loose or mispositioned, flicking one of the micro switches on the latch and causing the operation to stop due to unexpected positioning. pull the assembly, clean the micro switches, disassemble the auto closure actuator, rewind the motor to fully retracted, grease cable. You should be able to spin the cable into and out the motor by hand now by using the tab. Reinstall the assembly. Make sure the latch is in RELEASED position. Make sure the piece that pulls the latch down is in the UP position. Connect the greased cable to the shortest possible length while still depressing the upper micro switch. You need to enter the vehicle and close the roof at this point. It should work.

  14. Could be numerous issues. Does the knock increase in line with increasing the revs? Is the oil level at maximum on the dipstick? How is your oil pressure? Sump pan oil leak is a cheap and easy fix, link is below. The oil on the gearbox will probably be oil getting blown back from your sump leak.

  23. Hi, I am in need of a replacement rear sub frame for a 2010 370z I have been searching high and low and can’t locate one which doesn’t cost a fortune would anyone on here know of any for sale at a reasonable price ? I’m new to the 370z and foolishly bought a car that’s needing a lot of work unbeknownst prior to sale I’m slowly fixing It up and I would really appreciate it if anyone could help me out, thanks.
  24. Hi , so been a little delay in the build as Mark fell from a ladder early January 2024, while having a CT scan for the fall they found a tumour on his Kidney together with a broken hip, tumour was removed mid February, the tumour was cancer, luckily the tumour was found early and hadn't spread, 6months check up was good , yearly check up in a few weeks. So the car was held up for a while but we are now been back on it for a while.

  26. Done it. No didn't encounter any blind nuts, it would be a pretty stupid design if that were the case. I do recall the screws are 3 or 4 different lengths, I made a piece of cardboard with holes where the screws fitted so I could put them back in the right places. Don't overtighten them, I have a 1/4" drive inch pound wrench for this small stuff.
  27. On the 370 auto gearbox as any one changed the oil and filter with after market filter and had problems removing filter holding fasteners or retightening them some one said don’t change it because one of the fasteners is held with a nut inside the spool which turns so you can’t retighten it thought they were all set screws mines done 30k so would like to change oil Thanks
  28. As any one changed oil in 370 auto gearbox with filter change and used after market filter and had problems refitting filter ,not being able to tighten set screws or bolts because the nut holding it spins so it won’t tighten all the videos I have seen all the fasteners look like set screws thanks I am looking at doing mine now at 30k miles
