  5. Cars been on the dyno! Sadly twice. Had some major ignition issues on the first try. I just changed the sparkplugs and reused the old coils that came with the engine. That was stupid but lesson learned. New set of coils and new set of NGK plugs fixed the issue. Car is a fuc"!%# beast now. Old engine dynoed 225 on the flywheel. This one put down 255whp. Along with the 6 speed and my 4.27 diff gearing its just mental. Will spin the tyres 1-2-3 gear. Car only weighs 1140kg/2500lbs without driver. Going to change the final drive to a 3.64 during the winter. Put togheter a few clips from yesterday and a drive from today. Enjoy!
  6. Same as mine, don't think they have one there.
  7. Hello all. Might be imagining things, but am I missing one of my undertrays? Can anyone confirm whether there should be an undertray or shield covering this area? I'm wondering if one is missing! The two O2 sensor connectors look like they're pretty exposed there... but I just might not have noticed that before. 2005 350Z Roadster if that makes a difference...
  8. Awh yeah. Would you look at that. Its actually a big difference. But still. At least you know what it looks like underneath. Sometimes underseal is just hiding the rust. The subframe off to have a look underneath is a big job. Not sure its worth it unless you are doing another job at the same time.like subframe bushes or something..

  10. Mines a JDM so notoriously lack of undersealing. My previous attempt with Dynax and the odd bit of stone chip … couldn’t get above the rear subframe though.
  11. Honestly, i'm not sure. I assumed all 350s had an underseal like this. It's been on it since I bought it. But maybe someone before me threw some underseal at it before it came my way. Il take that as a win. As god knows, they love rust. Do other people's look like this?
  12. I did mine, too, during my refurb. Pointless, but without it it’s not as satisfying. what’s the black under your pin and across the wider pan area? Just paint or some kind of stone chip/lanoguard? I’m thinking of dropping my rear subframe as the bits under the mounts are looking really crusty. A
  13. Another little bit of refreshing. While i'm rooting in the area. Noticed the rear tie down point was looking pretty nasty. I relaise they aren't really needed and im sure allot if folt just throw them away. Looks like they are discontinued now also. So gave it a bit of a wire brush. Rust converter and paint. Along with some new bolts. The usual m10 1.25 threaded, flanged bolts . These seem to be used in allot this car in numerous places.

  15. My old girl made the trip down to Southern Spain again last year. 1500 miles over three days.
  16. Paper folders are a pain once receipts start fading, so having everything tied to the car could be handy. Shame it's iOS-only for now, plenty of Android owners will be left with the glovebox archive)
  17. I've been to Austria via the southern alpine pass in Germany. I've also been down to lake Como northern Italy back in 2019, via 3 Swiss mountain passes. Both trips were awesome!
  18. The German Alps, Salzburg, Zurich and Venice
  19. Mate absolutely props to you and the Z, PB's in any discipline are always very welcome - she'll settle into a lovely Winter knowing she's done you proud fella
  20. Hey all - former 350z owner here.. KM04BJV if anyone knew the car. Just wanted to share a project I've been working on essentially for car enthusiasts. If you a stickler for tracking service history and documenting everything about your car - I've built a free iOS app for enthusiasts called Otto Archive. Link below to download from Apple App Store. https://apps.apple.com/gb/app/otto-archive/id6761052695 Would love to get some feedback and thoughts - or suggestion on features you might want to see. And also if people find it genuinely useful or not.

  24. Hey sorry to reopen an old forum but I’m in the process of swapping the pulleys from my de usdm Power steering pump to a jdm power steering pump I bought I figured the Allen key insert doesn’t need to be removed and it’s rather pressed on but I’m struggling figuring out how to use any pulley remover tool since there isn’t a lip on the pulley to press it out does anyone know anything or can be of help thank you in advance.
  25. Trying to track down my old Ultra Yellow Nissan 350Z GT4 — number 141/176 (WN05 VVC). I owned this car until June 2015 and would absolutely love to find out what became of it. It hasn't had an MOT since 2015, but I've recently discovered it's still registered as SORN and changed registered keeper in May 2021. Does anyone recognise the registration or GT4 edition number, or know whether it's being stored or restored? I'm not looking for anyone's personal details — I'd just love to reconnect with the car, and potentially buy it back if the current owner ever considers selling. Any leads would be hugely appreciated!
  26. The war on crust continues: Treated the car to a new rear pin stay. I'd never had these nuts off the subframe before. And I've heard of horror stories of them snapping the captive threaded stud. So I made sure to wire bush them. Even went as far as buying a tap to sort the threads. However I realised I dont have a 26mm socket. So could only do them a little. Bit of wd40. The breaker bar and the impact and they came off surprisingly well. A little bit of jiggery pokery to untangle and remove the old one and the shiny new one is on. Happy days.
  27. Goodyear Ultragrip Winter Tyres. 2 front 225 45 18 1 rear 245 45 18 £50 each collected. £60 each posted.
