WhackyWill Posted March 14, 2015 Posted March 14, 2015 Been looking around for a reasonable camera for the car came across this one, sounds good for the money, anybody on here got one.. ? http://www.amazon.co.uk/rotatable-Screen-Camera-Logger-Sensor-Black/dp/B008ES75ZS/ref=sr_1_fkmr0_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1426345133&sr=8-1-fkmr0&keywords=YHHao+SC310 1 Quote
glrnet Posted March 14, 2015 Posted March 14, 2015 Not me, made in China, some of the reviews aren't great. You get what you pay for, £31.86 think I'd rather pay more and KNOW the product works properly. Quote
spursmaddave Posted March 14, 2015 Posted March 14, 2015 Pretty sure you are not allowed to fix anything to the windscreen with a sucker mount like that too... Quote
WhackyWill Posted March 14, 2015 Author Posted March 14, 2015 Here's the same cameras but £50...!! http://www.amazon.co.uk/Cozyswan-rotatable-Screen-Camera-Logger/dp/B00PXHGCWU/ref=sr_1_fkmr0_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1426346166&sr=8-2-fkmr0&keywords=YHHao+SC310 Quote
WhackyWill Posted March 14, 2015 Author Posted March 14, 2015 Buy the dear one then I thought you might be more receptive to it if it was more expensive... Quote

GMballistic Posted March 14, 2015 Posted March 14, 2015 @ SMD http://www.theroadtr...t-can-put-risk/ Had a good read of that Graham, ...some good info there. Thanks Quote
WhackyWill Posted March 14, 2015 Author Posted March 14, 2015 @ WW @ SMD http://www.theroadtr...t-can-put-risk/ In the Zed I have a suction cup holder mounted on the dash, that the Tom Tom sat nav was stuck to. Most Black cabs and Mini cabs have at least two suction cups stuck on the windscreen. Quote
glrnet Posted March 14, 2015 Posted March 14, 2015 Well if they are in the areas of the screen deemed unacceptable by the road traffic act they are breaking the law 1 Quote
Tricky-Ricky Posted March 14, 2015 Posted March 14, 2015 Looks great if you want selfies of when somebody runs into you. 1 Quote
spursmaddave Posted March 14, 2015 Posted March 14, 2015 @ WW @ SMD http://www.theroadtrafficlawyer.com/dash-cameras-improper-placement-can-put-risk/ I knew there were new rules, never liked suction mounts on the screen anyway Quote
ilogikal1 Posted March 14, 2015 Posted March 14, 2015 Well if they are in the areas of the screen deemed unacceptable by the road traffic act they are breaking the law But surely if Taxi drivers do it, that makes it legal. I mean that's how it works, right?! Quote

KosmiK Posted April 1, 2015 Posted April 1, 2015 I installed a Mini 0801 a month or so ago, really impressed for the price. I can only assume this one's even better since it's a newer model. Quote
RobPhoboS Posted April 1, 2015 Posted April 1, 2015 That's seriously good quality for such a cheapo price. Quote
TomS Posted April 1, 2015 Posted April 1, 2015 If you're going to buy a Mini 0801/0803/0805/0806 get it from JooVuu. UK based and warranty https://www.joovuu.com/gb/51-all-action-car-cameras I had to send 2 back as they were buggered but I got replacements within days, not weeks if they were going back to China like most other sellers. 1 Quote

Now that you mention it the cigarette lighter cable did stop working on day 3. I spoke to someone on Amazon and got a 10% refund though, since I wanted to wire it straight into the fuse box anyway, so I didn't want a replacement. Quote
