I think you misunderstand me: I don't want a deadly serious car review programme. I want how TG used to be 10 years ago, when the balance was spot-on. DRIVE manages to get a great balance still, and is arguably the spiritual successor to TG of that era.

No doubting the popularity of TG has increased since they ditched the more sensible stuff, I just think that as car people we should consider that a shame rather than a celebration.

People were still being wrong :p

Chris Harris is far more entertaining than Hammond or May when they're doing TG. When they're doing other stuff, that's a bit different.

Have you seen his more recent stuff? He was dull as ditchwater at first, but he's far more likeable these days. His P1 video is a classic, but I actually think his F40 vs F50 was better.

in this 22 minute long video i think i saw about 10 seconds (5 in the f40 and 5 in the f50)

in total of him appearing enthusitic excited the rest of it looked and sounded like he was in a business meeting

Fear or no fear, it's just the fact that all things change, sometime for the better, sometimes for the worse, which also is an opinion that everybody is going to be divided over, which in turn creates discussion, which keeps places like forums alive.

Can't stand it myself, but if it's your thing I think I noticed a GTR in the advert for next week's episode.

Along with a Bentley and a new M6 GT rounding up cattle
