MCook Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 Big reveal will be tomorrow... that is if all goes to plan. Some hints... 18" Rears Width 10.5 Rears Offset ET5 Front Width 9.5 Front Offset ET15 I believe I will be the first Zed with these wheels, have not seen another with them (they are also new on the market I think..)! Off to get tyres and all that jazz tomorrow, hopefully they will fit just fine! Quote
Pritchard Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 dropping from a 20" to a 18" setup.... curious. subscribing to thread. Quote
370Ad Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 Make sure you get correct size tyres for the Z. They make a massive difference Quote
Ian Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 Won't fit on standard suspension. 10.5" ET5 on the rear will need some work to fit Quote
GMballistic Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 Won't fit on standard suspension. 10.5" ET5 on the rear will need some work to fit Just wondering if maybe he meant ET15 but just didn't hit the key hard enough. Can't wait to see what you've gone for MC, ...I love surprises. Quote

MCook Posted December 30, 2014 Author Posted December 30, 2014 what size tyres you plannlng to run.? Not sure.. what would you recommend? Open to suggestions! Im planning to go to the wheel specialist Farnham tomorrow.. Quote
KyleR Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 May need a bit of an arch roll with the rears and/or a bit of stretch on the tyres. Love the wheels, hopefully they'll work out better than the last Cosmis wheels we saw on here Quote

Jp606 Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 (edited) Those are sexy, if it's those? The current 20s look weird and too big for the Z. Edited December 30, 2014 by Jp606 1 Quote

Im planning to go to the wheel specialist Farnham tomorrow.. Standard suspension? Yes Do you plan on lowering in the future? Potentially yes Ok, then I'd suggest you go for 265/40 rears, 245/40 front. The usual for 10.5" rims in 275 but because of the aggressive offset of the rear wheels, I think you'll need a little more stretch than normal. You'll get away without rolling the arches until you lower it I think, but lets just hope they fit over the callipers for now There are people more clued in than I am with regards to wheel/tyre combo's on the 350, so wait until one of them come along to confirm 1 Quote
StevoD Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 you join grundy and bizz on team cosmis Quote
GMballistic Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 (edited) ^^ What Kyle said seems right. My guesstimate would have been; Front: 245/45/18 Rear: 275/45/18 (although a 265 makes sense if it will help avoid rubbing) But possibly a 40 profile might be needed on the front/rear? as Kyle suggested. Need to be careful you get the rolling radius correct so you don't get any TC issues. Edit: Mistake. Edited December 31, 2014 by GMballistic Quote
MCook Posted December 30, 2014 Author Posted December 30, 2014 But what colour did i get........... hmmmmmmmmmmm Quote
buster Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 hope this helps you in your choice...... i am currently running on tein super street coilovers at about a 50 mm drop with rolled rear archs ......front wheels 9.5j with 235/40/18 tyres with et 20 +15mm spacer =et5..rear wheels 10.5j with 255/40/18 tyres with et20 +15mm spacer =et5....as you can imagine the rears have a slight stretch but i could get away with a 0 et on these tyres suspension has now settle down after wheels being fitted. 1 Quote
