TiN TiN Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 Had a little play around with ESP off. How do you turn the traction control off? Quote
Ricey Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 Press and hold the TC button but it's still sort of there a bit. To disengage totally I think you have to pull a fuse but be warned I think this disables a few driver aides. Quote
WhackyWill Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 As above...Buy DONT unless your on a track day. Quote

StevoD Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 if your trying to do burnouts you need to pull a fuse if your trying to do donuts/drift esp/vdc off is enough Quote
TiN TiN Posted March 8, 2014 Author Posted March 8, 2014 if your trying to do burnouts you need to pull a fuse if your trying to do donuts/drift esp/vdc off is enough Wouldn't the car try and get traction when drifting?? Quote
cmck13 Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 Only when I'm on a track day, I have full Eibach suspension set on max for track days, even the manufacturer inform you that this setting is only for dry conditions and not to be used in the wet. Quote

If you hold it, it seems to come on and then turn off and you can't turn it back on again until you turn the car off and on again... Quote
StevoD Posted March 11, 2014 Posted March 11, 2014 sorry just realised we have 2 people in this thread asking the same thing 1 Quote
TiN TiN Posted March 12, 2014 Author Posted March 12, 2014 What other driver aids will it disengage if I pull the fuse? What fuse is it? Quote
Sam Mcgoo Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 If you push the ESP button and get the light on the dash, then it has disabled the traction control. So it will allow the rear wheels to spin and loose traction without interfering. The Stability control remains on, so for example if you go too hot into a corner and the car thinks its unstable, it will brake individual wheels to try and keep you on the road. I believe if you pull the fuse it turns everything off including ABS! so be aware. If you want traction control and stability control Off, but ABS reman on, the you need to disconnect the Yaw sensor that is under the center console/ashtray area. 2 Quote
