HARMLU Posted January 15, 2014 Posted January 15, 2014 Yeah dude I get that no worries! If it is the chain though and he's right about it being out by that it won't have caused any problems to the pistons etc? If it damages the pistons you will know about it, don't worry! In the meantime, take it easy on the engine until you get the problem diagnosed! Just out of interest, did it cut out after going through a big puddle and the start up and go in to limp mode? I found out, one rainy and dark night that zeds don't swim too well! Quote
Mike1989 Posted January 15, 2014 Author Posted January 15, 2014 No pal was just driving down an a road and it cut out on me! No lights came on until I pulled the airflow sensor out because I thought it was airflow! Then it went into limp mode Quote
Neilp Posted January 16, 2014 Posted January 16, 2014 have you tried doing the throttle body reset procedure? Quote

Then it went into limp mode So no error codes until you disconnected the AFM? if cam chain was stretched enough, or the tensioner was dead, for the cam timing to be 10deg out you would definitely be hearing it as mechanical noise, as said take it to someone who knows the engine. Vik54 Posted January 16, 2014 Posted January 16, 2014 Mike - as everyone has already said please PLEASE go get a second opinion from someone who knows the zed - at the very least ascertain the correct code and post it up here for advice Quote
