spursmaddave Posted July 19, 2013 Author Posted July 19, 2013 Think I'm about 20 years off owning anything jaguar other than either the XFR or XKRR. But I'm about £70k off either of tose. That little coupe does look nice though. I feel like I've aged a little just posting on this. And I can feel a strange twinge in my hip I would have loved an XFR but the XFS is a good compromise, not much slower and reasonable to run. If Mary worked closer to home we would still have the Zed no question but the trouble is neither of us enjoyed commuting in it anymore... Quote
LRF4N Posted July 19, 2013 Posted July 19, 2013 Wasn't sure on the first pic but the wheels do look good. Liking the black in the bumper Quote
spursmaddave Posted July 19, 2013 Author Posted July 19, 2013 Wasn't sure on the first pic but the wheels do look good. Liking the black in the bumper Cheers the black on the bumper is just wrap at the moment seeing how I like it really Hopefully by next weekend Black front grille & lip in plastidip Black window surrounds Rear valance painted body colour Brake calipers painted red Possibly DRL's moved to the chrome trims (if I don't completely mess them up trying to fit them) Pretty much how I want the car then although I have just found somewhere that can do a DPF & EGR delete..... more power Quote
LRF4N Posted July 19, 2013 Posted July 19, 2013 Black to replace the chrome will tidy things up nicely. But why do you always copy my ideas? My skyline is white with black touches and calipers are going red. Oh well.... at least I dont have the pipe smoker stereotype Quote

LRF4N Posted July 23, 2013 Posted July 23, 2013 Red calipers always work well Are they XKR wheels? Quote
spursmaddave Posted July 23, 2013 Author Posted July 23, 2013 Red calipers always work well Are they XKR wheels? Yes mate staggered rears which is what I wanted too, some XKR wheels have even bigger offset I wanted a 'sporty' look to it Quote
spursmaddave Posted July 23, 2013 Author Posted July 23, 2013 They look great... Cheers Mitz next is a (cheap) black pack look I saw a white XF with black wheels the other day..... I have always said I hate black wheels but it did look very nice Quote
coldel Posted July 23, 2013 Posted July 23, 2013 Lose that chrome, I will even come over with some black marker pens if necessary Quote
spursmaddave Posted July 23, 2013 Author Posted July 23, 2013 Lose that chrome, I will even come over with some black marker pens if necessary I am keeping a little bit of chrome but the window trim is going black as is the front grille Quote
ioneabee Posted July 25, 2013 Posted July 25, 2013 I followed an XF down the M4 and then onto the M3 today the driver strangely enough WAS wearing a flat cap and had a pipe stuck in his gob......................I couldn't beliiiiieeeeeve it Quote
LRF4N Posted July 25, 2013 Posted July 25, 2013 It's funny how drivers don't usually follow the stereotypes their cars have..... Apart from jaaaaaag drivers- they're always spot on Quote
spursmaddave Posted July 25, 2013 Author Posted July 25, 2013 Looking good Dave Cheers mate, don't worry I will tell all the Jag owners that all 350z owners are not actually in the fast & the furious Quote
spursmaddave Posted July 27, 2013 Author Posted July 27, 2013 Slightly better results with some plasti-dip on the front grille... 1 Quote
BulletMagnet Posted July 27, 2013 Posted July 27, 2013 You should buy them headlight eyelashes, cut them up and position them as whiskers either side of the number plate Quote
spursmaddave Posted July 27, 2013 Author Posted July 27, 2013 Don't worry Col you wouldn't see the front in your mirror for long before you were staring at quad pipes Quote
