Sam Mcgoo Posted April 8, 2013 Posted April 8, 2013 How do you know it was a golf ball and not mighty mouse making a speedy exit?? Bad luck mate. On the bright side, it could have hit your roof and that would be much worse. Quote
oderuyter Posted April 8, 2013 Author Posted April 8, 2013 HAHA - unfortuntly I found the offending object in the footwell. TBH I would have liked some panel damage, could have got a respray For anyone that interested Autoglass quoted a little over 1200 for the repair, so I went the insurance route! Quote
Mikesding Posted April 8, 2013 Posted April 8, 2013 What an odd set of events! And wow at the price of a rear window... Quote
oderuyter Posted April 8, 2013 Author Posted April 8, 2013 I know, when the person said it on the phone, I must admit a small profanity slipped from my lips! Quote
cs2000 Posted April 8, 2013 Posted April 8, 2013 I must say that is a particularly bad 24 hrs! hope you catch the mouse (or it ran away) Quote
KC350Z Posted April 8, 2013 Posted April 8, 2013 at least you know its not the car making that squeak now Quote
BulletMagnet Posted April 8, 2013 Posted April 8, 2013 Eeekkkk That's what the mouse said Was glad to see Ray Lewis retire with another Superbowl ring. Nice finish to a 17-year career 2 Quote
oderuyter Posted April 9, 2013 Author Posted April 9, 2013 Well good news- its all repaired now, however the autoglass dude noticed some damage on the "Z" on the strut brace, so guess I'll be asking the Golf Club to pay to replace that, and does anyone know where I can get that plastic? 1 Quote

Simon+Kat Posted April 10, 2013 Posted April 10, 2013 Golfers...c'uh . Don't let the guys on the 'bird sh*t' post elsewhere on the forum know about your mouse, your car will be riddled with bullet holes I think youve hit the bottom now mate, the only way is up 1 Quote
adam1942 Posted April 11, 2013 Posted April 11, 2013 (edited) I think autoglass make up prices. that's the exact same price they wanted for a passenger window on my car. I got a used one from Alex for £150 or something similar. Unlucky on the car that's really crap. I don't suppose the rear window is covered by the Window screen cover for £50 or whatever it is?? oderuyter Posted April 11, 2013 Author Posted April 11, 2013 yeah got it covered under insurance, just taking a golf stick (or what ever that stupid sport is played with) to the golf club managers car to get my excess money back, and the difference in saving a year of no claims would have made, oh and also the cost of a replacement plastic for the rear strut as thats damaged too! WINKJ Posted April 11, 2013 Posted April 11, 2013 im sorry but the picture of that mouse trap in the footwell is far tooooooo funny! Quote
