Terminal velocity wouldn't be anywhere near 750mph for a human, surely?

Baumgartner is expected to achieve a speed in excess of 690mph (1,110km/h) within about 40 seconds of leaving his capsule. With so little atmosphere at 102,800ft, he will drop very rapidly

I doubt anything will go wrong which would cause a fatality, this is probably safer than most jumps by experienced skydivers at standard drop zones considering the amount of work that's gone in to it. I assume he's got a Cypres of some sort so that even if he loses conciousness the canopy will open at a set altitude.
