TheMacDaddy Posted April 9, 2012 Posted April 9, 2012 Now I know opinions are mixed on CF DI-NOC, but I thought I'd have a go just to see how it looked on my 370Z, and so far I'm quite pleased with it. B-pillars first as a test/warm-up, then I did the fangs and the lower rear bumper. I may well look back in six months, change my mind and pull the whole lot off, but for now I think it works. Amazing material when under heat from a hair-dryer. You can work it into the most curved shapes easily. It takes a lot of perseverance as a substitute for talent to get all the creases/bubbles out as you work it round the tougher sections (the front fangs took me about 2 hours lying on my driveway!), but it's very forgiving. If you mess up you just add heat, peel back and start again. Quote
Jay Posted April 9, 2012 Posted April 9, 2012 I think that looks quality mate Thats the areas I am going to wrap bar gloss black as I have a storm white 370. Well done for doing it yourself! Quote

Well done for doing it yourself! Yeah I'm actually a bit jealous of the white cars for this sort of thing. Looks even better on them. It's not hard to do yourself, but you do need plenty of patience, especially around the corners. Quote
DoogyRev Posted April 9, 2012 Posted April 9, 2012 Looks great, nice job If I get a 370 with fangs, I will be doing this ..... Quote
glrnet Posted April 9, 2012 Posted April 9, 2012 Looks absolutely I do agree with you thought the contrast against the lighter colours (white, blue ) is more effective Quote
philb1965 Posted April 9, 2012 Posted April 9, 2012 I like it and I'm tempted to do the fangs and rear bumper. How easy is to trim so it looks as oem as it can? Not sure I could get a decent finish. Did you get the stuff off eBay? Quote
Karlp Posted April 9, 2012 Posted April 9, 2012 Brillaint Job mate On a sidenot does anyone know how to keep you Di-Noc looking black as mine as faded slightly on the B Pillars. Quote

Will370z Posted April 9, 2012 Posted April 9, 2012 Love it, looks great. You are right it really suits the white cars, love it on GUNS. Intersting seeing it on a darker colour because i was tempted to try it on my black rose. Quote

Not sure I could get a decent finish. Did you get the stuff off eBay? Very easy to trim, I used a fresh Stanley knife blade just on its own, but a craft knife will do the job just as well. If you Google it you can find some videos of guys covering all sorts with it: I bought mine from these guys, just to make sure I got the real thing and not some knock-off rubbish: http://www.carbonmods.co.uk Prompt service, no issues at all. They do a sampler pack for £1.50 so you can check out the colours and finish. Quote
