Ebized Posted March 23, 2012 Posted March 23, 2012 3 days in Wales to check out the routes and things. Huge thanks to ChrisS and family for putting glrnet and me up (or should I say putting up with us) and both for sorting out what we will be up to over the Wales weekend. Some pics of our travels - when we arrived at Moreton found a Rally team there that was taking part in the Bulldog Rally this weekend. http://bulldog-rally.co.uk/ One of the cars driven by Kumpumaki had rolled in practice Then out into Wales somewhere - can't seem to remember where now Babe in arms Some might know this watering hole and then back to base Quote

ChrisS Posted April 30, 2012 Posted April 30, 2012 Well this weekends recce did turn into a swim. Colin and I were up early for our meeting at the Morton. Then it started to rain, then hail, then high winds. So the zeds got left at home. And we are both realy glad we did. A little drive through the cloud base. Maybe the seaside would be better. The river in the wrong place. 3 or 4 mph .. s*it that's deep. An old favorate heading into the cloud again. In total we did about 200 mile and so glad we went in the Freelander because we would have had dead zeds. Quote
Will370z Posted April 30, 2012 Posted April 30, 2012 maybe even i wouldnt have had to roof down in that. Id need my cosy on if so. Hope you fix the weather before the meet Quote
Ebized Posted April 30, 2012 Author Posted April 30, 2012 Grateful thanks to Chris offering to go round in the 4 x 4 - frankly we simply would not have got through in some places in the ZEDs, It was bloody cold as well - during the day we had hail and sleet as well rain by the bucket loads. Found some new roads during the course of the weekend, including a cracker for the Sunday afternoon, providing it does not have rivers running across it then But Chris, you forgot to put up that other picture on the Evo Triangle Quote
Humpy Posted April 30, 2012 Posted April 30, 2012 Bloody Nora, fingers crossed to the weather improving Quote
Wasso Posted May 1, 2012 Posted May 1, 2012 Oh dear that weather looks dreadful, a big +1 in hope we get pleasant weather Quote
