taffyjason Posted March 9, 2012 Author Posted March 9, 2012 Its a Tarmac plastic bag, so will probably make the car faster ! Cheers again Mr Tarmac Quote
theheff Posted March 9, 2012 Posted March 9, 2012 you fitting it yourself mate, any chance of a video with just the stillen Y-pipe fitted if it doesn't cause you any bother, probably a real inconvenient thing to request but if you don't ask?? assuming you have oem system fitted that is Quote
DoogyRev Posted March 9, 2012 Posted March 9, 2012 Oooooooh Nice Enjoy the aural delight that shall be becoming you Quote
taffyjason Posted March 9, 2012 Author Posted March 9, 2012 im not fitting it alone, i have a deal with the local garage who let me join in with the work for a slight discount, plus i get to learn a thing or two. I'll take a picture of the lot when fitted, maybe a video just for the sound if anyone wants to know what that concoction of parts is like! Quote
350 Russ Posted March 9, 2012 Posted March 9, 2012 Good work , ive been meaning to get the same for mine for a while. What back box have u got? Quote
taffyjason Posted March 9, 2012 Author Posted March 9, 2012 I should clarify the 'concoction', currently its OEM to the Y-pipe, then its Japspeed K2, already sounds nicer than stock, so will update when the new parts are fitted. Still running stock intake and no other mods at the moment, although an Uprev re-map is next. Quote
spursmaddave Posted March 9, 2012 Posted March 9, 2012 Very nice, but a crapspeed box on the end of those lovelies is like putting a turd on top of your wedding cake Quote
taffyjason Posted March 9, 2012 Author Posted March 9, 2012 i since learned of their reputation post fitting, but the quality is good on my example, sounds good too, the engineer who fitted it commented on how good the welding was, maybe they have improved? but only time will tell Quote
Michael robinson Posted March 9, 2012 Posted March 9, 2012 Very nice I have the same set up but with a k1 at the end of the stillen y pipe and it's crazy loud Quote
taffyjason Posted March 10, 2012 Author Posted March 10, 2012 you're ears must bleed with that lot and the k1! Quote
Michael robinson Posted March 10, 2012 Posted March 10, 2012 you're ears must bleed with that lot and the k1! It's quite loud but I like it for now, probably by next year I will change the k1 to a single exit power agency as the k1 isn't well built IMHO Oh and I also have stillen headers fitted which add's alittle bit more noise Quote
taffyjason Posted March 10, 2012 Author Posted March 10, 2012 what work was required to fit the headers? some think its an engine out job, some think it can be done in situ Quote
Michael robinson Posted March 10, 2012 Posted March 10, 2012 I had my engine rebuilt so mine were fitted with the engine out but I have been told you can fit them with the engine in place but it's a ball ache and not worth the hassle for the gains you get . No doubt zemanalex has done it before so give him a shout he might be able to shed abit more light on it Quote
rtbiscuit Posted April 18, 2012 Posted April 18, 2012 he is the 350z god isnt he? no he just has lots of parts he likes to flog to people but he knows his stuff Quote
