chrisgunton Posted November 20, 2011 Posted November 20, 2011 I really fancy trying my hand at wrapping an entire car - I've done some small fiddly bits of interior before (switch panels, strut brace), and the front lip, but I want to have a crack at some big panels I have my winter shed: It's looks teal in person - the photo is very kind to it! I'm thinking of simple gloss black instead. Plan is to do what I can with a friend (who has a body shop and is well versed in stripping and prepping cars), and if I get really stuck use a local company to finish it up. Thoughts? Quote
geoff-r Posted November 20, 2011 Posted November 20, 2011 Give it a go mate what have you got to lose? How about matte metallic grey? Like that colour some of the new beemers come in? Quote
chrisgunton Posted November 20, 2011 Author Posted November 20, 2011 It'll almost certainly be black, as it's cheap and easily available. The interior is beige and black, so a light colour will just look gross together! Quote
DoogyRev Posted November 20, 2011 Posted November 20, 2011 Matt brown? That reminds me of the chap with the Alegro.... in Brown gloss - yes you could see the brush strokes. Where was he parked........ right next to the School Bus Stop.... I hope we were not that mean to him Quote
chrisgunton Posted November 20, 2011 Author Posted November 20, 2011 I know it's bad at the moment but it was very cheap and came with snow tyres on spare alloys and 2 more spare tyres on steelies. Perfect for the winter and commuting. Quote
LRF4N Posted November 20, 2011 Posted November 20, 2011 Don't worry I wasn't having a go at the badge- that's a pretty good shed compared to some iv seen on here I just wanna see someone do a matt brown wrap just to see how it turns out lol Quote
WINKJ Posted November 20, 2011 Posted November 20, 2011 See a couple matt brown Porsches in Munich, look really good! Quote

Stew Posted November 21, 2011 Posted November 21, 2011 It's a shed, it's removable so might aswell do something silly with it! Quote
Chris`I Posted November 21, 2011 Posted November 21, 2011 It's a shed, it's removable so might aswell do something silly with it! Chrome I'd say give it a go. Start with smaller flatter pieces and move up to the bigger and more complex when you get comfortable with it. Dont expect it to be quick though, so you might be driving around in a patchwork car for a while Quote
