  1. After one in good condition If you have one, PM me!
  2. I called them up to insure the Civic and cancel the Nissan. They got everything wrong at every single point of the phone call. Literally, every single thing the phone operator said was wrong. So I stopped everything and just told them to cancel the policy for the Nissan. Managed to get cover for the Civic seperately for £55pm and the Skoda will be sold soon so I can cancel that policy with them too. Got my cancellation documents though today along with a customer satisfaction questionnaire! Pass me my complaining pen!
  3. The Zed went with it's new owner yesterday. Sad times. Was glad to see the box full of spares and parts leave my garage though Picking up my 2007 Honda Civic this week. Can't wait. Got it for under £5500 as it's a low spec SE variant. I can live without all the toys as it's for work mainly and a million times cooler than the Fabia I've been using!
  4. Honda are robbing bastards. £233.44. I'm picking up the car tomorrow and the deposit has already been paid (non-refundable) so I don't think I have any power to pressure the garage to pay for it. I'm in Thanet (Kent) - if anyone knows of anywhere I can get a new key made up and programmed that'd be great.
  5. They let me apply the NCB discount to both cars when I phoned and "raised my voice" a bit after they did the same for a friend of mine. I absolutely hate dealing with them over the phone - if only it was possible to view the details online and make changes. I guess if that was possible they would have to have firm and fare rules for everyone rather than just making it up as they go along on a case-by-case basis. Will probably get a quote for the Civic seperately now and just cancel the Skoda policy as soon as possible. It's now on eBay and after a few hours I've already had a message from an interested buyer.
  6. It should be both, as I arranged this for the Nissan+Skoda, but I think it's been forgotten...again. They had a hard time getting everything right when I took out the policy last time
  7. I went and paid a deposit on my new car today, a 2007 Honda Civic 2.2 i-CTDi SE. Can't want to get it! The Nissan has been sold and is being collected, and my Skoda Fabia is going up for sale ASAP so that I'm only running one car. I called Admiral who handle my multicar policy and informed them that the Nissan can come off the policy - no problem. When I asked them to reduce the Skoda Fabia's annual mileage from 18k to 1k - there is no difference in the price! What the hell?! How can it cost me £300 a year to have the Nissan on a 3k mile policy but an old Skoda Fabia is over £500 for even less miles? As it stands my insurance is actually going to go UP as a result of having cheaper cars doing less miles.
  8. Sad times! My Zed finally sold! After trying to sell via eBay and attending car shows with it gleaming (4hrs prep each time!) it went to the boyfriend of a girl at work - a co-worker happened to overhear her talking about her boyfriend wanting one. Fate? This weekend I'll start my hunt for a 2.2l diesel Honda Civic. Any tips or advice welcome! Will be sad to leave the forum - the Civic forums I've checked out are nowhere near as active. Massive thanks to the ZMANALEX and Cookbot anf helping me pimp my zed during my ownership
  9. First world problems! The dog made my 350Z dirty so I'm buying a Porsche! Life must suck right now for you
  10. working link to the videos: http://www.youtube.com/user/MrSparksCW
  11. If it happens again and you are aware at the time (woken up) then call the police and report "men with guns" in your street, or trying to get into your house. Don't mention that they are airguns.
  12. Mine is still for sale, and within your budget
  13. Elwire is what you want. http://www.elwire.com/
  14. This is now up for sale again. Time to buy a sensible car and a house! After a Honda Civic 2.2l Diesel CTDi if that is helpful to anyone wanting this
  15. My only issue is with spending a small fortune on a seriously uncool car (teal exterior with tan interior!). Would a 2nd hand "chip" make a difference? Would his Golf one be compatible with the Fabia?
  16. My 2001 Fabia is my daily drive for work (60miles a day). It's fairly quick being a 1.9 TDI but a little extra oomph would be nice, or improved MPG (already gets 55mpg). I was offered a re-map by a local garage for £300 - which is supposed to result in 30bhp extra and a 12% increase in economy. I have also been offered a "superchip" from a friend who used it on his Golf. Don't know a price yet though, or if it would even be compatible. I'm a complete n00b when it comes to this. Does remapping and superchipping really make much of a difference?
  17. The 370 does. It blips the throttle on downshifts, so basically heel-toe brakes for you. However none of the above changes the fact that this guy knows absolutely nothing about this car. DB Which is why I'm surprised no one else mentioned this - thought it was damn clever for a manual do it!
  18. Maybe I'm missing something, or being dense, but "REVS UP ENGINE BETWEEN GEAR CHANGES" On a manual?!
  19. These were discussed to death on the MX5 forums. Total con. If you could spend that little and get that much, why isn't everyone doing it? or making is as standard?
  20. Are these still being made? Do any of the included navigation apps work without an internet connection?
  21. Makes me glad at my new job we have armed guards in the car park! I had my rear wiper arm pulled off in a public car park earlier this year - it's just mindless jealous twats.
  22. Whump whump whump sound? I was going to bet you were listening to dupstep. Glad you found the issue though
  23. Not a terrible price really, and worth it to clear salty muck off. My bigest gripe about my karcher is I really need to get a really long hose for it. Walking around the car involves carrying the jet, the pump unit, and the power extension cord Is there a cheap source for longer hoses, or a way to join several together?
