Just got my first 350z - petrol / ecu question

Recommended Posts

Reset wont hurt, it will force the fuel trims to readjust quicker and might sort the timing advance a bit quicker too. If you dont it will just take a little longer to adjust. So up to you really - personally I would as its dead easy :thumbs:

Welcome to the club. :#1::wave:

As said above you don't have to but I would for the time it takes. You can even just disconnect the battery for a few minutes, or if you don't want to loose your radio pre-sets you can disconnect the ECU which can be found just behind the panel above the passenger foot well, to the left of the cigarette lighter. If you don't want to do either of them you can do the pedal dance. (see guides for ecu reset for the pedal method)
