Watshot Posted July 4, 2011 Posted July 4, 2011 Hate to state the obvious, but........................... Generally seems to have that kind of thing lying about. I know he had some HR's in not so long ago, got to be your best bet. Quote
Michael robinson Posted July 4, 2011 Author Posted July 4, 2011 Yeah av tried him just waiting on him getting back to me but thought ad try my luck and throw this out there to see if anyone else had one lying around . Quote
HaydnH Posted July 5, 2011 Posted July 5, 2011 What happened to your engine?! viewtopic.php?f=108&t=30137&p=745756#p745756 Quote
Michael robinson Posted July 5, 2011 Author Posted July 5, 2011 Basically a condition called "bore washing" Quote
Tricky-Ricky Posted July 6, 2011 Posted July 6, 2011 Drop Paul=Polo a PM i think he is registered on here, but if not try him on the SXOC or driftworks, i think he still has the engine that he removed from his Skyline 350GT drift project (same engine as 350Z). Quote
HaydnH Posted July 6, 2011 Posted July 6, 2011 Would a HR engine fit an older rev? Would probably need a new bonnet at least but it's the way I'd go if it was possible: viewtopic.php?f=157&t=48371 Quote
Lexx Posted July 6, 2011 Posted July 6, 2011 new gearbox and loom aswell needed for hr engine = complete f*** on. I seem to remember this has been discussed a few times, and decided against it. Quote
ZMANALEX Posted July 6, 2011 Posted July 6, 2011 Successfully done two of these recently and just shipped an HR motor out on Thursday which is going into a DE. Fairly straight forward but you will require the following. HR motor complete with all ancillaries including dual air boxes and maf sensors. HR complete transmission with fly and clutch. Complete engine harness and ECU HR hood HR catalytic converters and rear O2 sensors HR dash clocks. Uprev at either RS or Abbey. Well worth it in my opinion as 350 is achievable with the tune and 550 without internals with a pair of Turbos. Alex Quote
HaydnH Posted July 6, 2011 Posted July 6, 2011 Well worth it in my opinion as 350 is achievable with the tune How is 350 achievable with a standard DE car with a HR engine and UpRev? Why isn't this achievable with a HR car? Quote
ianphampton Posted July 7, 2011 Posted July 7, 2011 There's a couple of engines on ebay for around the £2k http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/NISSAN-350Z-VQ35D ... 1e64ceede4 http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/NISSAN-350Z-350-Z ... 4cf862391e No idea if they're any good, but they might get you mobile again without all the engineering mods. Mark@Abbey m/s Posted July 7, 2011 Posted July 7, 2011 How is 350 achievable with a standard DE car with a HR engine and UpRev? Why isn't this achievable with a HR car? It is with a few other mods ,, like fully decatted exhaust system, some cams and a good tune. Mark Quote

Chris`I Posted July 7, 2011 Posted July 7, 2011 I got over 340 with nismo intakes, berks and nismo exhaust Probably asked this before but what was your wheel/hub HP? About 300? Quote
Mark@Abbey m/s Posted July 7, 2011 Posted July 7, 2011 I think Greekman car was tuned on a roller dyno not on a hub dyno. Quote
Greekman Posted July 7, 2011 Posted July 7, 2011 I got over 340 with nismo intakes, berks and nismo exhaust Probably asked this before but what was your wheel/hub HP? About 300? Yes mark is right. Roller dyno and whp was about 290. Quote

Roller dyno and whp was about 290. Ah ok, found the graph now. Its assuming 17% losses which is a bit more than Mark quotes for his hub dyno, but in-line with other DD dyno's I've seen. Sounded quite high was all Quote
