Custom single exit exhaust fitted

Another few mods ticked off my list! Single exit exhaust and bumper tuck done today!

I know the single exit will not be to everyones taste...... not sure about it yet myself the tailpipe is 5" which im now thinking is too big

Hmmm, not really feeling it myself. I think if you're going to go single exit it needs to be the fat canister type, like Ian had. The thin pipe with the flared exit looks a bit odd to me.

if I'm being honest, not loving it much myself, I like the single exit, but not the tailpipe! easily fixed tho! just need to find one I like, the ones Ive seen 3" are too small for a single pipe :-(

My Greddy was 5.5", the Agency power one is the same size aswell

You could do a TVR thing and get like a full Carbon Fibre silencer can off a motorbike exhaust, like an Akropovic Race Can

that would be different! the guys who done it had cans but they all looked too small!

You could go for like a Moto GP style can, since they are a little shorter, just see if you can see if any salvage yards have any bikes on without exhast damage, might save you some pennies that way

sorry never liked single exit on the zed anyway; but not feeling that at all,

 

do like the bike can idea though, but i;d want 2 at the back; just balances out the rear better.

Bike silencer wont flow anywhere near as much gas as you'll need. The biggest bikes are 1200CC+ and have dual silencers. Cant see it working as a single I'm afraid. It looks like the pipework on the current one may be too small for a single, Ians was much fatter.

I'm guessing you never thought that through. Ians car had a perfect example of a single exit even though some didn't like. I really loved the single exit but come on man, you need a big shiny can!!! Get that sorted asap as it's destroying the look of the car

The stickers are chavy thats why they are now off what else is "chavvy" tho?

but wouldn't the dia of the pipe need to be greater otherwise whats the point of large dia pipes, you might aswell put 1/4 inch dia pipe on if it was for performance

Its the same setup as stock, except instead of a huge backbox theres a single pipe. Aslong as its the same size piping as stock then theres not an issue.

Same goes for Nismo or any other non true dual exhaust. Same size or larger pipe work & the single will flow better

I may be wrong on the flow side of things, but I am just basing my suggestion on my brothers Akrapovic full race exhaust on his bike, with comes with two end cans.

One is titanium for road use and has baffles inside, while the race can is basically a straight thru pipe with a bit of baffleing material inside the can wall, you can hold it up and see straight thru the can and the inside diameter is like 2.5". Surely that should be enough, no?

Thought standard was 2.75" and thats restrictive? Might work though. I would guess there was a reason TVRs needed 2 though

Never actually measured it, so it's was a rough guess, so you could well be right

not really a fan of the single exits on the zed i think its one of the cars that must have a dual exit to look right but thats just my view of it each to their own
