Tarmac@TarmacSportz Posted October 6, 2010 Posted October 6, 2010 Ok So I get in the car this morning and blowers are on full pelt... I try turning them down, turning them up, turning them off and turning the engine off and on again but it still stays on full pelt when engines on, im either or im Anyone got any ideas.... The aircon fascia was taken off at the weekend to get my new knob on so I don't know if thats affected it somehow ??? I know this is a technical question so im not expecting many replies Quote
Ian Posted October 6, 2010 Posted October 6, 2010 Check the cable. If thats loose then they come on full blast Quote
BladesGrant Posted October 6, 2010 Posted October 6, 2010 I would bet that the connector behind the dials has come loose or not been re-connected. When I have changed the Sat Nav and Stereo and taken the connector off the blowers just come on full bore if you start the engine. I would start there. Quote

Wasso Posted October 6, 2010 Posted October 6, 2010 I actually recall the same issue, if the cable to the blower unit is not fitted the blowers engage. Once you fit them it must send a signal to then read back to the relevant units the required setting on the dials. Time to take it all off and check that cable..... A pain in the #### I know.... Its not that big a pain, you only have pull the gear surround up to check the connector. 1 minute tops. Quote
rtbiscuit Posted October 6, 2010 Posted October 6, 2010 yeah husky fitted that bit, not me, possibly worked loose if not fully engaged. might have been my fault; i forget now Quote
James B Posted October 6, 2010 Posted October 6, 2010 As the other guys said. The cable is either still unconnected or loose. Quote
