whistling sound

hypothetically speaking of course.. if I was to drive the zed at 85-90 mph and hear a whistling sound until I dropped below 85 again.. what would you think it might be ?

dont think its the window, and kinda hard to tell where its coming from but 85mph seems to be the magic number for it starting

+1 on some sort of window seal issue. i get lots of wind noise from my drivers side due to the window not being seated right.

side note i see the pimped out dolorians quite abit due to living down the road from the dolarin owners club !

Yeah I get wind noise and whistling through the top corner of the window of my drivers door, it just doesn't seem to sit right against the rubber to seal properly. I can put my finger in it and the whistling stops! It also happens at higher speeds, like yours. 70 of course

Drilled or grooved discs can cause a whistling sound can they not? Do you have these?

Maybe he means the electrical whine...which would lead to thinking it might be a grounding issue.

Mine whistles on the drivers side at high leptons, press the window up switch and it stops for a bit

This is a common fault, its to do with the window not sealing correctly. Try the window reset procedure

try some Gummi Pflege. You can find it on ebay. Its a Rubber treatment. Will reduce drag against the glass so window should go up easier.

thanks for the suggestions, its certainly not a electrical whine, will fiddle with the windows over the weekend and see if it fixes it

my old work van used to have a roof rack that made a whistle when going above 65, not saying you have a roof rack but if you had an aftermarket spoiler maybe? prob is the window, good luck

Are you sure no one has taped a ref's whistle to your car? I know someone who did that to his boss's car....... took him two weeks to find it

the trick is to get the mouth piece in free air and the hole on top of the whistle in "sheltered" air.. kinda tucked away in the grille or air intake

You get wind noise and whistling! Eat less beans and make sure you at least whistle a nice tune while your at it!
