muranowner Posted December 9, 2009 Posted December 9, 2009 I've just recently bought a Nissan Murano, I know its not a 350Z but seems to share a number of similarities with the engine and electronics. I've been searching for a decent Murano forum in the UK but can't find one; I came across your forum and found it to be very interesting reading. I'll try and post some pics up later of the Murano. I'm most interested adding ipod connectivity, which will probably mean removing the Bose H/U. Quote
martinmac Posted December 9, 2009 Posted December 9, 2009 Hi and welcome, we have one owner on here although i havent seen him around for a while. Quote
muranowner Posted December 9, 2009 Author Posted December 9, 2009 Hi, Thanks for the warm welcome. Pictures as promised. Loving the noise from the engine, will I notice much of a difference if i get a KandN or Blitz panel filter? Quote
bronzee Posted December 10, 2009 Posted December 10, 2009 Welcome to the forum. The Murano is a neat colour. Quote
sunset350z Posted December 10, 2009 Posted December 10, 2009 you probably wont notice much of a difference if you fit a K & N or blitz panel filter, but you should get slightly improved fuel consumption. Plus you save yourself spending on new filters for every service Quote
jerry3167 Posted December 13, 2009 Posted December 13, 2009 Hello and welcome to the club!! The previous owner of my Zed, went on to buy a Murano too Quote
srobrien Posted December 14, 2009 Posted December 14, 2009 Welcome matey, my mums thinking about a Munaro, what do you think of it so far? R Quote
muranowner Posted December 15, 2009 Author Posted December 15, 2009 Welcome matey, my mums thinking about a Munaro, what do you think of it so far? R Its great so far, lots of space and a nice smooth drive. Certainly looks good and everyone comments on it and how you don't see many about, which is nice! Its great on the road, handles very tightly and lots of grip, considering its 1.8Tonnes it goes well. Not too much roll through the corners and feels good at speed. A very relaxing drive, the engine is happy to just potter around at low rev's but put your foot down and its off like a rocket. Has all the toys inside. Would have been nice if they'd fitted front parking sensors as well as the rear ones with reversing camera. Heated seats have been nice with the cold weather recently! Stereo is ok but limited on connectivity, its the Bose; I find it sounds good to me but no MP3 connectivity for ipod. The satnav computer is ok, limited on trip functions etc, would like to have seen MPG and fule consumption figures. Builtin Bluetooth would also have been nice, these are just minor niggles though. stanski Posted December 15, 2009 Posted December 15, 2009 to the forum I quite fancied one of them when they came out just grt an fm transmitter for the iPod - easiest solution but if you check out the interior section a few of the guys have gone ICE mad and I guess their mods will work on yours too? gangzoom Posted December 16, 2009 Posted December 16, 2009 When i was shopping for my Z, the salesman tried to get me to test drive a Munaro when i complained that the Z only had 2 seats..i think i was 24 at the time Quote
