stanski Posted September 22, 2009 Posted September 22, 2009 Its got to be the M56 - Boring is an understatement and always the same hold ups in Chester Services Quote
martinmac Posted September 22, 2009 Posted September 22, 2009 Two stand out for me the M62 and the M25. Both are nightmares. Quote
stanski Posted September 22, 2009 Author Posted September 22, 2009 Two stand out for me the M62 and the M25. Both are nightmares. Oh yeah forgot about the M62 - generally avoid it there must be a subliminal sign just outside Leeds that says - drive like a moron now and cause an accident! Quote
rtbiscuit Posted September 22, 2009 Posted September 22, 2009 A12 is crap as is the A14, i also hate the M25 and the M6 (around b'ham) i love the M6 toll road Quote
Zednick666 Posted September 22, 2009 Posted September 22, 2009 A1 Horrible road! Some absolute numpties driving on it too - those filter lanes getting onto it, people actually STOP before pulling out onto a national speed limit dual carriageway, at snail pace. Unbelievable! Heavy rozzer coverage too Quote
rtbiscuit Posted September 22, 2009 Posted September 22, 2009 i also hate the M5 average speed cameras all the way, same as the A14 Quote
Zednick666 Posted September 22, 2009 Posted September 22, 2009 ... actually from a 'condition' perspective, most of the roads round me are in a shocking state, shake yer fillings out... Quote
mbs Posted September 22, 2009 Posted September 22, 2009 Got to be the A64 between York & Scarborough. Crap surface and clogged everyday with day trippers. Quote
Darren-B Posted September 22, 2009 Posted September 22, 2009 THE M25 Carpark for me, Bloody Hate it and dont get me started on the dartford tolls Quote
rtbiscuit Posted September 22, 2009 Posted September 22, 2009 Got to be the A64 between York & Scarborough. Crap surface and clogged everyday with day trippers. i forgot about that one, i usually cut cross country to avoid it when travelling between york and malton. Quote
stanski Posted September 22, 2009 Author Posted September 22, 2009 Ooer - what have I started!! So when we are paying our £400 road tax every year we can see it has been used wisely then ................... NOT! Quote
rtbiscuit Posted September 22, 2009 Posted September 22, 2009 Ooer - what have I started!! So when we are paying our £400 road tax every year we can see it has been used wisely then ................... NOT! don't get me started i wouldn't mind paying the £400 road tax or the 75% tax on fuel if we actually had a road network that was similair to the french motorways. i doubt even half the money we pay ever see's the roads. its the same old thing, we don't get value for money, we have politicians who are quite happy to **** it up the walls for us. Yup your right there.... the French roads even in the back of beyond are excellent - obvisouly they have grabbed as much Euro money also but at least they have actually spent it on the road and not Duck Houses etc etc Quote
zedwagon Posted September 22, 2009 Posted September 22, 2009 a56 between the M60 and Altrincham in Manchester. always jams no matter what time of day. and its 2 lanes - but only just wide enough to be - and you get idiots in the inside lane that are too far over and about 4 foot from the pavement and force you into traffic coming the other way. have to breathe in sometimes especially in a wide zed m6 - between Manchester and Birmingham. full of idiot lane hoggers/tailgaters Quote
nixy Posted September 22, 2009 Posted September 22, 2009 Got to be the A64 between York & Scarborough. Crap surface and clogged everyday with day trippers. Ah but have you been on it in the past week? The new improvements are in place - FOUR lanes approaching the roundabout WITH traffic lights on it. Need to wait for Caravan season to come around again to see if works! Quote
