ben@RARE RIMS Posted July 4, 2009 Author Posted July 4, 2009 I have added you With regards original wheels... you might be shocked in the near future people
ben@RARE RIMS Posted July 6, 2009 Author Posted July 6, 2009 1) Would it handle properly with 19x10 front and rear? 2) Would it look right, i.e. would the fronts stick out too much? 3) Would the front arches need rolling, especially if lowered, with 19x10 on the front? 10s on the front would probably fit, but there really is no benefit to be had from it. You can get plenty of tyre on the 9s, and they fit well, and look good. The reason for really wide fronts on the 18s was to get the concave spokes, but the 19s have this solved by all being concave. You would just be spending more money for no benefit, and possibly disadvantage of a little more weight more tricky fitment and possible but not certain arch issues. I would strongly suggest sticking with the staggered fitments.

ben@RARE RIMS Posted July 6, 2009 Author Posted July 6, 2009 We have Bronze and Black with rep lip still here in stock ready to go. 2 lucky people have bought and paid for their silver with polished lip versions, and they will be getting them this week. We have 2 pairs of 19x9s if somebody fancies them... due to a slight shipping error. It'll be 4 weeks before we get more silver with polished lips. We have white ones coming in 2 weeks.
ben@RARE RIMS Posted July 6, 2009 Author Posted July 6, 2009 Do you still have GUNMETAL as a colour for these? 10 week lead time on them for now... We can get a set we already have in refinished in gunmetal for you without any worries.
ben@RARE RIMS Posted July 8, 2009 Author Posted July 8, 2009 2 sets of these have now gone out to members on here Nobody fancy the bronze or black with red lip at the moment?
givememorepower Posted July 9, 2009 Posted July 9, 2009 Do you have any pics of the black with red line wheels on a grey Z ?
scottsoulby Posted July 9, 2009 Posted July 9, 2009 Id love the bronze for my azure but unfortunetly there is a lack of finds at the moment. I'll have to get rid of the wife
ben@RARE RIMS Posted July 9, 2009 Author Posted July 9, 2009 I am sure you can scrape some funds together scott What wheels have you got now? Perhaps we can arrange a PX
scottsoulby Posted July 9, 2009 Posted July 9, 2009 I've just got the rays at the moment, I was going to wait until the tyres had worn down before I bought either new alloys or tyres
Ian Posted July 9, 2009 Posted July 9, 2009 Do you have any pics of the black with red line wheels on a grey Z ? Not the same wheel but you get the idea
sunset350z Posted July 9, 2009 Posted July 9, 2009 2 sets of these have now gone out to members on here Nobody fancy the bronze or black with red lip at the moment? How much are the bronze ones? Would love a set when funds permit. Do you take Rays in part ex??
MattG Posted July 9, 2009 Posted July 9, 2009 Do you take Rays in part ex?? +1. It'll save me flogging them!
ben@RARE RIMS Posted July 10, 2009 Author Posted July 10, 2009 We may well be able to take the Rays in part ex I'll have to work out what they're worth to us, but I'd hate to insult anybody with them by making a low offer... I'll look in to it All colours are the same prices
MattG Posted July 10, 2009 Posted July 10, 2009 We may well be able to take the Rays in part ex I'll have to work out what they're worth to us, but I'd hate to insult anybody with them by making a low offer... I'll look in to it Apparently the Rays are popular on the SXOC if that helps?
ben@RARE RIMS Posted July 10, 2009 Author Posted July 10, 2009 Popular yes, but not going for good money at the moment. A set has recently been for sale for around £400 with tyres, which is probably not what you have in mind when selling your Rays wheels...
jamesyj Posted July 11, 2009 Posted July 11, 2009 Will the 19" GTR's be stocked sort of 'forever' if you know what I mean? It's just, I want a set of these wheels but my standard 18" tyres are fairly new and I'd rather wait a little til they're about done. And at the minute, I'd really miss £1,300 out of my bank account! I'd be gutted to miss these, but if they're an on going stock item, I'll just grab a set a little later!
ben@RARE RIMS Posted July 13, 2009 Author Posted July 13, 2009 These will be stock items, although not in as large numbers as 18s due to the differences in demand. If they're out of stock the wait is 4 to 6 weeks to get some in for you usually, as long as we have them already made at Rota. Cheers Ben
jamesyj Posted July 13, 2009 Posted July 13, 2009 Awesome, I'll give you a tinkle when I'm flush with cash!
lamby Posted July 13, 2009 Posted July 13, 2009 oooo very nice i could also be interested in a set of these again in the not to distant future
ben@RARE RIMS Posted July 14, 2009 Author Posted July 14, 2009 It's worth noting the group buy pricing is only valid this time round... and will not be held forever. There will be exciting offers in future, but not for a while! We have now sold all the black with red lip GTRs, so have just got the bronze ones left until our next container arrives in a week of so.
ben@RARE RIMS Posted July 16, 2009 Author Posted July 16, 2009 I know a few of you chaps are waiting on the polished lip flavoured GTRs to come back in... but does anybody perhaps have a blue 350 that would take the Bronze wheels? We have those in stock and ready to go!
MattG Posted July 17, 2009 Posted July 17, 2009 but does anybody perhaps have a blue 350 that would take the Bronze wheels? We have those in stock and ready to go! They work on Sunset too!
