Jinshim Posted September 9, 2024 Posted September 9, 2024 Morning guys! This has probably been done to death so I apologise now! Need to learn search function better!! Need to replace my discs and pads and getting close to pulling the trigger on a bundle, I can't decide between the Hawk HPS pads or DBA street pads for the bundle though. Car doesn't see the track but sees fast road use, tried googling for reviews on either but google seems to be ignoring the word 'pad' and just showing me reviews on dba discs!! Thanks all, Nick Quote
Adrian@TORQEN Posted September 9, 2024 Posted September 9, 2024 Hi Nick, Hawk Ceramic pads would be my choice, minimal dust and crazy good bite from cold. Quote
glrnet Posted September 9, 2024 Posted September 9, 2024 Hawks all day long. Had them on my Zed for years, fast road car, no track days. No fade, no shitty dust and they work!! Wouldn’t have anything else. Quote

Keith D Posted September 13, 2024 Posted September 13, 2024 Sorry silly question, when you say Hawk ceramic, you mean the Hawk PC in the yellow box rather than the HPS or HPS 5.0? Quote
Adrian@TORQEN Posted September 13, 2024 Posted September 13, 2024 For clarity, 350z pads: https://www.torqen.uk/nissan/350z/brakes/pads/491-350z-hawk-performance-ceramic-pads-for-brembo-front.html https://www.torqen.uk/nissan/350z/brakes/pads/492-350z-hawk-performance-ceramic-pads-for-brembo-rear.html 370z pads: https://www.torqen.uk/nissan/370z/brakes/pads/1096-370z-hawk-performance-ceramic-brake-pads-sport-akebono-calipers-front.html https://www.torqen.uk/nissan/370z/brakes/pads/1097-370z-hawk-performance-ceramic-brake-pads-sport-akebono-calipers-rear.html 1 Quote
GranTurismoEra Posted September 13, 2024 Posted September 13, 2024 Hawks are good. Theyre made in Australia I think hence the higher price. Had them on the Zed. Nissan should have used them from factory. Quote

GranTurismoEra Posted September 13, 2024 Posted September 13, 2024 My bad...Its DBA that import them to Australia to sell. Theyre more into discs but do pads as well. I had mine supplied and fitted by Abbey Motorsports. Quote
The Bounty Bar Kid Posted September 14, 2024 Posted September 14, 2024 I might have a look into those for Carla. On 09/09/2024 at 21:24, glrnet said: Hawks all day long. Loadmaster Posted September 15, 2024 Posted September 15, 2024 Abbey fitted a set of Hawks to my Z last year. They bite well in daily use and also work on the Nurburgring, which is handy! It's never really occured to me, but having read comments about minimal dust, that's actually correct. Quote
Jinshim Posted September 23, 2024 Author Posted September 23, 2024 Just as a quick update to this - ended up with a completely different set 🤣. DBA T3 4000 slotted discs front + back DBA xtreme pads front +back Supplied by the guys Torqen. Did an aggresive bed in saturday night and they are night and day difference over the stock setup I had. Bite well from cold, haven't pushed them hard fully yet as also swapped roll bars so getting a feel for everything! +1 recommend though and thanks for all the input! 2 Quote
Adrian@TORQEN Posted September 23, 2024 Posted September 23, 2024 Thanks for your order and feedback, much appreciated. Don't forget to do the bedding in procedure: https://www.torqen.uk/docs/TORQEN-brake-bedding.pdf Quote
