Finally Finally A JDM Z Owner

Finally purchased a JDM Auto Z.

This one needs a little TLC, but not too much. Mechanically seems sounds.

Well the 2nd hand car market misery strikes on day 2 !!!

All fine yesterday. All fine this morning.

 

Come to work tonight, and the Engine Warning light popped on, lost power for seconds and the SLIP and TCS lights on. Now takes around 5 seconds to start also.

 

Ive seen there is some history of this problem in the forum, so hope its an easy fix.

Hoping it will get me home !!!!!!

A nice little investment may be a OBD reader (and associated app)

 

Helps identify these issues. I have the below one:

His car is a JDM so will need a JOBD capable reader rather than ODBII.

Thanks for all the help lads. Where would i pick up a CAM Sensor? Seems to be the go to thing to replace.

Welcome, I was  just about to put up the J ODB reader I bought last week but it appears to be gone off Amazon. I had a lot of lights on the dash when I bought the car which turned out to be a coil pack needed replacing, hope yours is as easy a fix.

It’s been on a computer today. Crank Sensor. Mechanic think that still could mean CAM Sensor. So going to replace both.
