jimboy2 Posted November 12, 2015 Posted November 12, 2015 So has anyone else taken the plunge and chucked too much money on a big iphone? I have and also bought the stupid pencil that annoying isn't available yet. Got to say it is great tho. I have gone from a old iPad 4 (the one before the airs) to this thing and the jump in spec is huge. The screen is gorgeous too. And yes I know I could have got a MacBook or a windoze laptop for the same money, but a iPad is more convenient for me to use. Quote
glrnet Posted November 12, 2015 Posted November 12, 2015 No but am going to an Apple Store tomorrow. Must resist. Quote
Beavis Posted November 12, 2015 Posted November 12, 2015 I will be swapping my 3 year old ipad for one. I think i will go for the 128gb model. 2 Quote
jimboy2 Posted November 12, 2015 Author Posted November 12, 2015 That's the one i got 128 space grey. You should notice a huge jump in spaces from a 3 year old one. The speakers are pretty good too. It's nice that it finally has more than 1 No but am going to an Apple Store tomorrow. Must resist. You will come home with one. Why else are you going to a Apple Store? One think]g I'm struggling with is the full on screen keyboard. Keep hitting the smiley key when wanting question marks and stuff. Will take a bit of getting used too. Quote
Humpy Posted November 12, 2015 Posted November 12, 2015 Been toying with getting an Ipad air or smiliar. Dont really fancy spending mega bucks though and guessing this is going to cost a fair bit! Quote
jimboy2 Posted November 12, 2015 Author Posted November 12, 2015 The 32gig one is a lot cheaper. Quote
Ekona Posted November 12, 2015 Posted November 12, 2015 It's a stupid addition to a range that doesn't need expanding. It's oversized, overpriced and unnecessary. I'm getting mine Saturday. 7 Quote
Stutopia Posted November 13, 2015 Posted November 13, 2015 First one of their products for a while I've not been tempted by, but yet to see one in the flesh, they look huge! Done a MBP recently, so must try and be sensible to some degree Quote
glrnet Posted November 13, 2015 Posted November 13, 2015 13" screen for a tablet does seem big to me. Quote
Stutopia Posted November 13, 2015 Posted November 13, 2015 13" screen for a tablet does seem big to me. It's crazy/ To think my first laptop only had a 9.5" screen It did kill all the aliens in Independence Day though 2 Quote
jimboy2 Posted November 13, 2015 Author Posted November 13, 2015 Once it's in your hands it all makes sense. Really doesn't feel that big. It's lighter than my iPad 4 too. Can imagine going from a air it may feel a bit heavier as the airs are stupid light. Quote

ATTAK Z Posted November 13, 2015 Posted November 13, 2015 13" screen for a tablet does seem big to me. It's crazy/ To think my first laptop only had a 9.5" screen It did kill all the aliens in Independence Day though and to think our first tv had a 14 inch screen Quote
ilogikal1 Posted November 14, 2015 Posted November 14, 2015 Bargain at £52 and twelvety pence! Just a shame there's nothing on the BBC worth twelvety pence, let alone the rest of it. Quote
jimboy2 Posted November 14, 2015 Author Posted November 14, 2015 One thing that has annoyed me and I have now had to turn off is the Touch ID. I have a 6s plus which has the new sensor and is lighting fast. The iPad pro has the old one and is so slow it feels like it doesn't work. 1st world problem I know, but this is probably the only thing I hate about apple!! Quote
glrnet Posted November 14, 2015 Posted November 14, 2015 Well, I resisted. I have another plan for the money, don't worry Apple will still rape my wallet. Quote
