Hi guys so I've woken up early been doing some reading and I'm thinking about stroker kits I know you can go up to 4.5l but it just seems like more money, risk & effort than its worth (would make more sense to go FI)

However it seems like to go 3.8l apparently it's a "straight forward" crank replacement job.

So wondering if anybody has done it, knows how risky adding the 0.3l will be, knows of what kind of work and costs etc.. Any info would be appreciated really.

I may just be getting a bit worried as I'm almost ready for the remap and want the best out of it

Id be intrequed to see what difference going from 3.5 to 3.8 would make. If you compare say the 3.5 HR engine against the 3.7 350z, theres not much in it at all, and certainly when I drove both on the road, I actually "felt" my HR was quicker!

I think for the cost involved you`d be better off trying a different approach!

Ye I spoke to Horsham developments about it, I didn't realise I'd still have to rebuild the engine so that's of my list 😂. SC much easier way to gain!

That stroker kit would probably net you 20-30 bhp at the very best . Charge it with a kit from Torqen . Easy make 400-450 fly bhp

Or just buy mouthwashs car and sell yours !

Waste of money if you ask me. We have ready built low compression engines available for 350z DE. Stick a TT kit on it and you're close to 1000bhp. :D

I'm pondering a SC future already 😂 you need be doing payment plans!!

So has anybody had the ££ to Stroke AND charge a Z?

I think DJTIMO has a charged 3.8.

Pete

Tim has a TT forged, but not stroked.

The only stroked car is Tony420z with his 4.2 Brian Crower

Give torqen a shout. He's already specced and priced my next power investment. Looking forward to it. Next year will be packed!
