thrust release bearing normally rattles on them - nothing to worry about - I doubt they will replace the clutch - there was a recall on them for the clutch slave cylinder which means removing the gearbox had mine done on a recall last year - was done in a day. Dont worry be happy... (Doh sorry posted under Lucy's id! (Stan)
  2. thanks took ages! but finding the right music was the best bit!, particularly pleased with the courteeners at the end and i still cant stop laughing at that bit - especially when the videoer gets fed up of waiting for them and distracted by a VW campervan! plus a bit of ultravox for martin and liz!
  3. well i just happen to have been able to vote twice so its a bit closer
  4. i had steering wheel controls on my ver ST (no cruise tho of course)
  5. Just in time for the Hoon run!

  7. yes and at least ill be able to get off the estate when it snows! will be quite amusing going past the people with RWD sliding around all over! no heated seats though, which i'll miss!
  8. no no don't worry, will never be a +1 !! (don't like that expression!! )
  9. Still more work to do on the paint but thats for another day - we just finished waxing before the rain set in! Although its quite new it did'nt look like its ever been washed properly ... that will change!
  10. Normally I would do it myself but there is a bit more car to wash ...........so graciously accepted help .... of course under strict supervision not to create more swirls
  11. How about a wider selection of womens T-shirts/vests in more varied colours (including pink!) is this possible Martin?
  12. After recently saying goodbye to my Zed thought I would show you my new car. Not quite a powerful RWD Zed but its got 4 seats and a big boot and laughs in the face of speed bumps! Here it is after 5 hours of Mer polishing, Blackfire Midnight and Poorboys wheel wax! More bling to be added but already modded - with Stainless side steps and a chrome tail pipe cover! Hoping to post up enough to get my free 350Z sticker for the back window!
  13. you can get day trips from tokyo into the mountains and i think they go as far as where the monkeys are. i wanted to do this when i went and had it booked but it was cancelled due to a typhoon!! did just over a week in tokyo and 4 days in kyoto which is definitely worth going to - completely different to toyko with lots of temples and gardens. you can get between the 2 on the bullet train - about 2.5 hrs and about £60 one way, but worth it. if its a clear day you can see mt fuji out of the window. for things to do in toyko buy a good travel guide and explore using the underground. its really easy and all the different areas of the city are quite different. harajuku, shinjuku are good to see also the shrine at asakusa - theres a street 5 mins walk from there thats full of shops selling japanese tea pots and cups, knives and sake pots at decent prices. also in toyko - the hama-rikyu garden is worth going to-it has a ceremonial tea hut in the middle of the lake which and was impressive cos it was a really old traditional garden but surrounded on every side by glass skyscrapers youre going at cherry blossom time aswell i think which is one of the best times of the year to go from the airport to tokyo - get the airport limousine bus - its basically a coach to the main hotels in tokyo but is the easiest and cheapestvway to get to/from the airport
  14. flare holder??? think JDMs have flares whilst in japan but theyre taken out when imported here just a guess!
  15. just seen this - lucky escape nixy! and well done on the swift reversing skills!
  16. +1 on all the above i positively looked for a JDM cos i think (generally speaking!) they're in a lot better condition and lower mileage than the equivalent age uk cars and they cost less to buy plus i love all the japanese stickers/writing that you get you just need to read up on the spec and make sure you get everything you want
  17. i'd try on here and pistonheads first for a week or so and if no takers then autotrader never had any luck on previous cars thatve been on pistonheads tho - theyve sold thru autotrader each time
  18. red roadster near regent rd in manchester yesterday private plate - was either R777*** or R666*** - cant remeber which! - or something vaguely like that anyway!
