  1. Yeah i thought it was a little down on power to be honest thats why i took it in. The HR engine should be 309 thereabout but i assumed it may have lost a little. Pleasantly suprised with the results though
  2. Model: 2007 GT VQ35HR Mods: Nothing, everythings stock Dyno: Weston Performance, Solihull Birmingham Fuel: Tesco 99 RON
  3. Thanks for the info on handbrake! Feel like a complete prat now, didnt know that lol. As for sitting on the brakes, not really. My boy racer days a in the past, i take it easy on the car in general tbh and the amount of spots where this occurs on the rear discs i would have to be doing it all the time. The only thing i can think is i have to have my handbrake on fairly strong as my driveway is rather inclined, but you say thats on the drum? But like i say, i dont give my brakes a hard time at all.
  4. Hi there, a while ago i changed my pads to EBC YellowStuff front and rear as Nissan Westway told me they needed doing while my car was in for a P1. After breaking the pads in i never really noticed they were any better than the OEM pads but i didnt mind as they were cheaper than buying off Nissan. I wouldsay they are very very dusty though, a lot more so than the OEM pads i had before. Its been about 4 months now though and although hard to remember i definitely feel like the brakes are softer, dont have enough bite on them. I've started to think it may be the discs although i was told there was life in them. Not been overly mechanically minded i would say there is a 2mm lip on the discs with the inside been more worn than the outer. Also i noticed some marking on the disc and wondered if this was normal? At first i thought i was just brake dust that will easily come off. after cleaning the car, it didnt move. I sprayed some Brake Disc Cleaner, still nothing. I took the car for a spin and put the handbrake half on to try and burn it off, still there! This only happens on my rear discs not the fronts. Its both sides and there are at least 6 spots where it occurs. Could it be time for new discs? I have to do something about my stopping power cuz its just not biting strong enough, reminds me of my old ST220's brakes! If it is time to get new discs can anyone suggest a really good set of discs n pads that beats Nissans £900 :s

    Squeaky brakes

I got the exact same problem as you Shaun. As of 2 days ago, i fitted Yellow Stuff pads all round (tnx CS ). My discs are fine, plenty of life. I've done the bedding in procedure several times now and im still squeeking. Dont know if its just a case of me not having had them on long enough but the only thing i can think is on my discs, there is a tiny (<1mm) lip on the edges and i think the pads are rubbing on it. Either way should i just continue to drive as normal and the pads will settle in or should i have my friend resurface the discs? Alls i know is i felt a right plonker driving through Maccies Drive Thru today

    Zedless

Got the car back today. Alls good with the clutch. Glad i took it in though as they confirmed what i thought was a very small oil leak. Turned out it was from the AC radiator, if there is such a thing, i cant really remember what they called it lol. Bascially little rad that sits just infront of the main rad. Anyhow, Nissan gonna replace it free of charge They also said my brake pads were getting low so thanks to CS i got me some Yellow Stuff coming

    Zedless

Having got the car 3 weeks ago, the only thing that has slightly worried me is a slight rattle from cold when the clutch is released and a small rattle when turning the engine off. The guy i bought it off said it had gone in for a replacement clutch as was the case with a few of the 07 350's on a factory recall. Im told the noise is totally normal and nothing to worry about but as the P1 service is due and handbrake needs adjusting, seen as the car is still under warranty i thought id may aswell get it all done in 1 hit. Assuming nothings wrong with the clutch, anyone got any idea how long i will be with her for?

    My first Zed :D

Just a couple of snaps of my new pride and joy, 350z GT, Gun Metal Grey, Black Leather on a 57 plate.
  12. Thanks for your response, good to know. Hopefully i wont have to use it but nice to know its there
  13. Other than a constant smile, no! Im loving my first Zed. I bought privately, i've just never bothered with warranty stuff before and as this is my first, what i would call, performance car, im a bit more protective than i was to my old ST220. Just was wondering if anything did ever go wrong while it was still under warranty, am i entitled to any help
  14. I just bought a 57 350z with 25k on the clock. Really nice car, chuffed to bits! I just have a question about warranty's. Without trying not to sound to naive, I believe the car is still under the manufactures warranty but am i still covered been a new owner? Is it something i need to register with Nissan? Not that anythings wrong with the car Shedding a little light on this matter would really be appreciated
  15. Hopefully i will be picking up my new car on Tuesday. 350z on a 57 (313). Me and my girlfriend are getting on really well at the moment but i gotta be honest, i haven't been this excited in a long time!
