  1. I'm on tapatalk right now it's mint
  2. that's awesome! I had been running mine with fittings at the top and removing it to do oil changes, was a right pain in the arse! Think I'll be flipping mine over now, it's currently off the car because I never got round to putting it back on at last oil change.
  3. Sorry if this is a dumbass question but is it okay to mount an oil cooler upside down? I always thought you were supposed to have the inlets and outlets at the top? If not you have saved me buying extra braided hose!!!
  4. I usually drive at 69 and get 33mpg ish like people say the slower you go the better economy becomes until engine is laboured. Aerodynamic drag is a square function relative to speed so at 20 if drag were 1000N at 40 it would be 4000N at 60 it would be 9000N assuming all other fluid properties remained constant.
  5. Another instance of internet shopping killing off the high street. But to be fair if they were anywhere near on price they might stand a chance still sad news for all those affected!
  6. Ha ha, whoops! I never even realised lol
  7. Well eventually the Amuse kit has been dropped off at the body shop for prepping. Next week the car goes in for the kit to be sprayed and fitted, hoping all goes well and I get good results...And my wallet isn't raped too much! Will post up pics once it's all done....
  8. That's ridiculous!!! Only one solution!!!! Vigilante justice!
  9. Id personally do the latter mate and get proper offsets to keep the kingpin axis in the same place at the wheel centre. When I put spacers on mine I thought it handled like a pig! It started to tramline, didn't feel as hooked up etc. This is why mine didn't stay. Plus they ain't cheap.
  10. Nice work! It's easier and quicker taking the bumper off than the way I did it.....such a nightmare trying to leave the bumper on!
  11. Comparing them against my teins mate which have been on about 18 months I think they'll drop a touch more at the back end, front looks about same as mine. Sticking spacers in will make it look massively different. I'm going for new rims.....eventually lol
  12. Don't forget to mark the wipers current spline position so you can put them back in the same place. They are a nightmare to get off!
  13. No worries mate, hope you get it sorted. Mine was doing my head in never knowing how much juice was left. It's worked perfectly ever since.
  14. I've always run 5W-40 fully synth
  15. Ha ha that's bloody awesome! Might as well go the hole hog and get a sheepskin jacket too!! Lol.
  16. So 310 at the hubs equates to around 350-355 at the fly circa 20BHP increase over OE 330 The 370 OE exhaust is very restrictive I am told.
  17. £400 for an UpRev or £8 for a chip hmm let me think about that one ..... Yes will defo do the same thing
  18. Thank you, Might have to give some black hole glaze a go and see if it will cover up my swirls.
  19. It's cool - now sorted M20 x 1.5mm. Cheers Steve
  20. Sorry for what's probably a dumb question but what is a glaze and when do you apply it? Is it: polish, glaze, wax. Polish, wax, glaze Or A N other? Thank you Steve
  21. I'm looking at getting a remote oil filter kit because I'm getting fed up of having to fish around under the car when it comes to oil changes. This annoyance is compounded by the fact I have an oil cooler with take off plate and the braided hoses make getting the filter off a pain due to no clearance. So my plan is to run a remote filter and fit my oil cooler take off to that at the top of the engine so there will be easy access to the filter at oil change time. Just not sure what centre bolt size to buy. I was looking at sonething like eBay item 120871348275. Just had a good find, I thought my discs were on the way out because they had developed a vibration . Turned out to be a pad deposit, rebeded in and back to normal now.
  22. I cleaned mine two- three years ago when I wrote the guide and its still going strong
