  1. Cheers Lexx. Never even heard of them before! Lol
  2. Yeah Mike I agree, it does seem a little weird, when I arrived I was expecting to see holes for the mounting points in the bumper to show it had been fitted but there wasn't anything it had just been rubbed down. Cheers mate, The place I took it is a place with a good reputation round here but maybe they just like doing OEM stuff and aren't fans of doing firbreglass. The owner said to me that they normally turn people with fibreglass parts away because of issues they have seen in the past but because he knew me (old Judo Sensei) and I told him they weren't cheap fibreglass ebay tat i.e. Shine parts they were willing to try. When you say CS do you mean Cougar Store? Didn't know they did body work. Where are they based? I looked on the website but it doesn't have an address. Thanks
  3. Bit of an update on this one. Basically I went to collect the car and parts last night and I expected much worse than when I got there based upon what the body shop had said on the phone. The skirts-basic problem with these is that air trapped between the gel coat and fibreglass has expanded during curing of the primer and there are about 15-20 'pin prick' type defects in the surface around the edges/corners etc. Is this normal? Did a bit of googling and it seems to suggest it is and the defects need to be gouged out and filled in then repainted. They did say they didn't feel the passenger skirt would fit as it was out of line when they offered it up. They hadn't tried the driver one. The front bumper they hadn't actually tried to fit either. They had rubbed it down ready for priming and noticed that the front section where the number plate sits again isn't a smooth radius but wavey and would need a mountain of filler to smooth. They also said it would be likely to suffer from the bubbling seen on the skirts due to trapped air. Not sure what to do now! Wish I lived near RT-Performance I would just go there! I'm thinking maybe I should offer up the bumper and drivers side skirt to see how well they would fit before doing anything else. Maybe the body shop didn't have much experience with FRP or have lots and didn't actually want to do the work. Luckily they haven't charged me anything.
  4. Hi mate, I have indeed contacted the seller. Just awaiting a response.
  5. Sadly the body shop said the bumper would need to be completely reshaped to fit. Involving cutting a relaying new fibreglass. However there was another issue with the parts as a whole. When they put them in the oven to cure the primer at a low temp, because they were fibreglass, the air in the material swelled and burst through the surface wrecking the primer so it couldn't be painted. They tried reprepping the parts a couple of times but the same thing happened. This wasn't at the right temperature to bake the paint, they said they baked it at about half the normal temperature. The parts are from Shine Auto just gutted now. Really wanted these to fit as loved the look of the Amuse kit for years.
  6. Hi Dave Just spoke to my mate and he says the lowest he can go is £120 collected. Let me know what you think. No they aren't my diff kits on eBay so not sure what they are. Cheers Steve
  7. Absolutely gutted!!!! Just been called by the body shop to say the kit doesn't fit so I'll be going to collect my standard car tomorrow..... Now just hoping I don't get charged loads for the work they have done.
  8. Hi Dave I'll ask my mate for you, see what he says. He might be willing to cut his losses. I'll let you know. Cheers Steve
  9. Hi Dave Sorry mate just seen this Yes still have these knocking round in my parents loft
  10. Fair play mate, you've beat me on that one!!! My bike wouldn't fit in the passenger seat, I did try but sadly no chance!
  11. Yes mate it's sprayed Ford Metallic Panther Black. Did it last year, looks far better than the silver in my opinion. Uses the plastic spray painting guide husky posted on here a while ago.
  12. Ha ha it wasn't easy getting it in, doubt I'd be able to get my Kona Stab in though so well done on getting your FS in!! It's a 19" frame so not too small. I must admit it was a pain in the arse but needs must because I'm dropping the car off at the body shop tomorrow for the Amuse kit fitting then have to cycle to work. No option for public transport where the body shop is and where I work. Just hoping I can get it back out!!!
  13. One goes on top and the other on the passenger seat. 8)
  14. Thanks for sorting it out Chris! Legend!
  15. Yeah mate it's easy. Hopefully there are motors there cos if not they aren't cheap! If not

    Spoiler

My car is going in on Tuesday for my Amuse kit fitting, can't wait to get it back!
  17. I like someone slim i.e. takes care of themselves and stays in shape but not emaciated!!! Someone who is scrawny is awful and makes you feel like you'll break them as well as looking ill. Current GF is a size 10 and gym toned look, has cracking legs, nice curvy bumb and more than a good handful up front, just the way I like it.
  18. Yes the yellow/gold piece is the housing. In the guide I wrote there are some pics of the housing and pics of the whole assembly. For clarification did you dismantle this or was it just rocking around inside the door in its current state? I'm pretty sure when my drivers door window stopped working there was no audible click when the button was pressed.
  19. Sorry mate can't help but that's one cool registration 8)
