  1. I am selling off a version 1 Nismo bumper and a pair of C-West side skirts. They are both genuine items that I bought damaged and I have repaired with the intention of fitting them to my Z but as I am selling in the spring there is no point getting them fitted only to take them off again. The Nismo bumper had a crack on the LHS from the headlights washer hole down to the reflector hole and then from there to the bottom of the bumper, there was significant scraping and material missing on the botton front corner where the prevous owner has scraped it across a kerb or wall causing the damage. I have fully repaired the break with glass fibre, dremelled out all of the impact shatter marks on the paintwork then filled and smoothed. There were many stone chips all of the bumper so I have sorted these out too, the Nissan badge on the Nismo has also been filled in and smoothed over. Its had a coat of high build primer which I have rubbed down so its ready for final prep and spray in the body shop now. The side skirts had what looked like kerb damage again with large scrapes down one of the sides and the back end/edge had come away with a portion missing. I have patched over then rebuilt up using several layers then filled and rubbed back to rebuild the correct profile using the other fully intact one as a guide. Both have had a high build primer coat and on has been rubbed down ready for the shop, I need to just finish of the second and they done. My sprayer gave me a quote of £100 for both to be colour matched to my car when I had finished sorting them. Will post up photos as soon as I can, some are on my other PC so wont be able to put them up for about a week. I will also put up photos of what they look like on a car. I am asking £200 for the bumper and £150 for the side skirts, shipping is at buyers cost. Bumper pics to come....
  2. Could be an exhaust heat sheild? The only way to check is get the car up on some ramps and poke about underneath. Not sure why it would only be in 4th though. Take it to a dealer and get them to some out with you on a test drive to see if they can pin point it.
  3. Might not have been the same day they dragged it away?
  4. I have some magic beans if you are interested in a trade? Have you any pics of it on a roadster? (the spoiler, not the cow)
  5. I would go for a lower mileage version at a slightly higher cost against a high miler but it really would depend on the difference in price. At 50k+ miles I would be thinking of the thing that may need to be replaced that would start costing a lot, the clutch being one.
  6. Look for the window reset procedure on here or my350z webite. You need to take off the door card and pull off one of the black stickers to reach the button then its a case of close the door, window at the top and press the button, open window all the way and press the button again (or something along those lines)
  7. I found that mine grounds through the aeria connectionl!!
  8. Unless the drive was sloped giving a false reading..... of course its bad, get some oil put in there before you damage the engine!!
  9. So I've had the Z for 18 months now and have ticked the box of my life goals to own a 3+ litre roadster, its time to move on but I have come to love the Z so much that I dont want to change cars as such. I am tempted by a 370 but its just too much money to spend, a coupe Z will allow me to keep in a car I love without the restrictions of being slightly less practical when wanting to move larger items. My car is an 05 Azure Blue Roaster with 16K on the clock, UK car, FNSH, one previous owner. Completely standard apart from a K1 Exhuast and custom fibreglass sub install in the boot. What I am looking for is an 04 or 05 Coupe, less than 25k on the clock, UK car, GT spec preferred but not essential. Must be in Black, Blue or possibly Silver. I would consider older cars but it may need cash my way to make it work. Shout me a PM if you have any interest. The Hoff. (Gloucester area)

  11. Thanks guys, will get the door card off and give it a go in the next few days
  12. So I do up my drivers side elec window using the autorise (pull harder on the switch) but sometimes when it reaches the top it then pulls down again by a couple of inches, doesnt always happen though. If I do it manually using the switch its fine. I can only assume it thinks there is something trapped and pulls down for safety, it also does this with the door open so its not the roof. Maybe I should take off the door card?
  13. How did you do it? Is it a spray over the top or do you take apart the headlight unit
  14. I have a K1 exhaust that I may consider swapping, wanting something a little more refined but still louder than standard.
  15. Mine did squeak as well as bang but a dab of WD40 solved the squeaking so just got to sort out the banging now. I also have a pocket full of loose change in my suspension somewhere! When pushing the load pedal and transferring the weight to the back is almost sounds like someone shaking a pocket of change, I think its the anti roll bar but not quite sure yet.
  16. I think the locating pin (the metal spike at the back of the door) on the drivers door is making a banging sounds as I drive over bumps. Does anyone else get this, or know how to sort it. I was thinking of trying some foam shoved in the hole to see if that stopped it? Any suggestions?
  17. There was a cat C damaged 05 Azure blue that went on one of the salvage sites the other day for £4.5K, it needed at least £2k's worth of repair so 6.5K is not too bad for a cat D but a cat C is, as mentioned above by Sunset, a different story. Lots of little pitfalls that could be a problem to you in its ownership unless you know who and to what standard its been repaired too. In my opinion leave it well alone and find another. If you want a cheap one for for an early model with a good history.
  18. I paid £250 for my P3 and that included an MOT! - Gloucestershire
  19. Depends if its a CAT D or just crash repaired. Big difference but will still never reach non crashed prices.
  20. Hi and welcome to the forum!
  21. I would be tempeted to go back to my Impreza roots but the Scooby WRX's are not worth much now days, you would need to stump up a lot of cash my way to make it worth considering. Post some details of your car to gain more interest, mileage, colour, mods etc ...picutres are always good too. Hoff.
