  1. I have arranged to purchase an ESR K1 exhuast next week, it there any way to tell its a genuine ESR exhuast and not a cheap chinese copy? Are there any logo stamps I should be looking for? (assuming no sales receipt)
  2. Damn right it is, wish I had that before I had to work it all out for myself!
  3. Well I popped down to Wilkos earlier and have just tried the Crayola crayons out [other wax crayons are also available]. Went for the black crayon, lightly rubbed the crayon on to the effected areas building up a small layer of wax then gently rubbed the excess off with a finger. Seems to have done the trick very well! Thanks Stanski Where it was just the grey vinyl thats was stratched its alomst completely invisible to the eye now but the bad bits where the plastic is actually dented will never be prefect, still look a lot better though. Will post some pics in the week. Thanks again, Hoff
  4. I'm in Gloucester so a bit far away really. Will try the crayon approach at the weekend.
  5. Not sure if crayon will sort mine out!
  6. I was installing a new head unit over the weekend and managed to put a couple of minor scratches on the dash by the flip up cubby hole, they are not huge but I know they are there and it will really irriate me! Whats the best method of getting this sorted out, can I buy a dash repair/touch up kit from somewhere or should I contact chips away or similar? cheers, The Hoff
  7. Its not a GT model so most likely its steering wheel control that get routed off to a plug behind the steering wheel somewhere. It thats the case it wouldnt be too hard for a non GT owner to hook up some steering wheel controls with the right bits from a breakers yard. Thanks for the replies guys!
  8. I took the 6 disc cd changer out the dash tonight. I had to pull out three plugs, two I know are the one that go to the ISO adapter but I am not sure what the white plug at the bottom is for. Here is a pic, anyone got any idea? It had three orange or yellow wires connected to it I think.

  10. Fitting a Kenwood head unit so just need to find the right ISO lead to connect up the power and ground, non GT so no need for steering wheel controls and no Bose amp. Is it.... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/PC2-13-4-Nissan-3 ... dZViewItem http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/autoleads-connect ... dZViewItem http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/NISSAN-ISO-ADAPTE ... dZViewItem
  11. The ones in the pics on Ebay are not OZ Super Turizmo as I had a set on my old Scoob. They are very similar though, with more spokes and no recess at the outside edge of the spokes. ....a b1tch to clean as well!!
  12. Cheers for the advise, will give the coke a go..... ...then try sorting the windscreen
  13. Has anyone got any suggestions of something I can use to stop my wipers smearing the windscreen as they wipe. They were fine until about a month ago when I found some 'connect your house and spray on' car wash/wax stuff, gave the car a clean with it and its been a problem ever since! (yes I know, feeling stupid for trying it now) I have tried replacing the wipers for brand new Bosch ones and also cleaning the windscreen with white spirit. The white spirit made no difference and the new wipers have only slightly improved things. Any other (sensible) suggestions of what to use? Rain X?

    Update

Nice motor and like the wheels but, and this is generalising not just about your motor..... Does anyone else think that the look of the big exhuast cans hanging off the back like that look like something a car from max power would have stuck on. I am hearing a lot of good review regarding the sounds that the K1 makes but to me they just look too big for the back of the car - on any Z not just this one in particular. I am more tempted by the Scorpian system as its a similar look to the standard exhuast with slash but pipes that fit well with the rear bumper. Maybe, as Ian said, if it had a rear bumper tuck it would look more suited? Not sure, maybe its just me.
  15. Was on Ebay recently and reached £100
  16. Autogas said that the LPGa have issued a warning about possible valve problems on the Z but with limited info on under what circumstances that problems occur. I have emailed the LPGa to enquire about more info on under what circumstances the issue is caused. The MPG is 10-20% lower on an LPG conveted car so I put the petrol MPG's at 15,20,25 and 30 and put the LPG as the same but with 15% knocked off so 15 MPG with petrol would give 12.75 MPG with an LPG conversion.
  17. With the price of fuel gettting ever higher I've been looking into getting the Z converted to run on LPG. Still not decided one weay or the other but I thought I would share my findings with others here to gain any input. Cost of system: PRIMS system - £2173.75 inc VAT, 3-4 working day installation, courtesy car included. LANDI system - £2056 inc VAT, 7 working day installation, courtesy car inc. Both systems include a 2 year warranty which covers 'anything the gas touches'. Not sure of advantages of each system, these were just the two quotes I got. An LPG car will get 10-20% worse MPG so I factored in 15% less efficiency for arguments sake. Please see the pic attachment for the spreadsheet calc. I have put the size of the tank at 70 litres and the gallons conversion at 4.55 litres to the gallon. I have put in 4 different MPG values to suit everyones driving style and just to give a comparison really. So if my workings are correct and at the current fuel prices it will take 15K miles to pay itself off at an average of 20 mpg (petrol equiv). If fuel goes up 20% then its will take even less miles to break even. I really am giving this serious consideration now, I am going to cover 15K within the time I own the car - yes I think is the answer. What do you guys think? Edit: I have also attached the Excel version of the data.
  18. I have ordered myself some of the Comma cleaner too, should be here today so will give it a go tonight.
  19. Has any one got any more pis of the exhuast fitted to a car. I am still not too sure about the cans on the back, it could almost do with a rear apron to make them suit the rear of the car better from some of the pics I have seen.
  20. Personally I think I will start with a decent cider for drinking around the friends house then I fancy a good ale or two tonight in town. Even tempted by a pint of Guinness possibly. Gonna need something to make Big Brother bareable when we get back and the other half insists we watch it! Whats everyones drink of choice for Friday nights?
  21. +1 here 05 Azure blue, non GT, Nismo front bumper coming soon.
  22. They gotta be around £250 a pair, look great but too much for me.
  23. Agreed, an adult version of it would be great!! I dont get on with the Yoga very much but I love the balance games.
