Disconnect the shock and check for resistance. Is the car sitting level? Are the rear sub frame bushes in good condition? Are the rear suspension arm bushes in good condition?

Fitting a new rocker cover gasket will not have any effect on the oil ingress to the spark plug tubes Alex

Follow the wires from the fan motors and you will soon find them Alex

no there is a BCM also under there. The BCM is attached to the fuse box in the R/H footwell. Alex

Probably lazy fan motors, but certainly should be sorted before you have an over temperature issue. Alex

The car will over heat eventually if the fan motors do not kick in when stationary, so I think that you are not giving it enough time Providing you keep an eye on your expansion bottle and you do not allow it to seriously "boil over" then you will not do any harm.
