Firstly I would recheck for a vacuum leak and I would also check the sensor.
If the sensor is faulty I would not mess about with aftermarket sensors.

With the roof in the half-open position, remove the vinyl cover and inspect for anything loose or untoward.
Then spray silicone on all the contact edge faces where the hood meets the body and apply white spray grease on all moving mechanical parts.
You won't get any more for the car with a new clutch. however, it should sell easier.

Knock out the ball bearing part squarely and a little bit at a time, with a large drift and a heavy hammer.
The inner part which is on the sleeve, as Keyser has said, heat up quickly until red hot with a 25 oxy/acet. nozzle and it should just fall off with a little help of a thin chisel on the inner lip.
