Sender units are known to fail, located i think at the front of the block - alex should be able to confirm as he is quite intermate with the old VQ engine. Could try an engine flush and an oil change to clean the sender unit. Dan

I did mine aswell, fell out with one bolt, (lower strut one) but other than that not too bad at all, rears are unbelievably easy! Couple of tips, try and soak everything the night before in penetrating oil, 3in1 penetrating oil from halfords was may fave, much better than wd40! Try and buy new bolts to replace old item, - not a neccessity but its always a nice to have. And DONT use Bihex sockets! Some of the bolts are v.tight and require a fair bit of tq. A decent set of hex sockets and a large breaker bar and you are well alway! Dan

350z owners style advice please... I've had my G/F for 2 years now (lives with me) - cooks for me, always been good to me and hot as hell. Anyway I go away on holiday for a week, come back and something just doesn't seem right. My G/f isn't acting right at all. But i let it slide and I carry on with how with it So anyway last week ... I'm coming home early from work when, right in my Kitchen I catch my Father red handed with his meat in my G/f. I fuming, so $%*&ing pi**ed, told him to get his meat out of my G/f and '$%£&' off, needless to say my G/f went off aswell. Ive been forced to throw the g/f out, but im in pieces, I dont know how I can cope without my g/f, two years together for it all to be ruined by my own father! Just to rub it in, about 10 minutes ago my old man had the audacity to ask my how my G/f has been since the incident, when he's the damn reason we ain't together no more. Has anyone ever had anything similar ... i really dont know what to do. Would be interested to see if this actually works, as I would imagine the ECU would require divorcing from the car. You cant even swap CD players from car to car let alone the ECU.

All the fuses for the headlights are in the fuse box behind the battery where you have to remove the plastic covers. certainly for the high and low beam there is a single fuse for each individual bulb!!!

depends how good the painter is and how confident they are in their own work. If someone told me dont touch it for 2 weeks I would be nervous. When I had my roof done the guy gave the whole car a clean before me collecting it, that was a really good sign that the guy is perfectly confident in his own work. I take it the car wasnt baked?

Lol I was under the impression that there wasnt just one, some test and prototype drivers send their own test drivers. Where is isnt a specific driver required, it thought it was Ben Collins that was this stig

Im im sure they are the same accross the range, Certainly the same bulbs/ ballasts and ignitors between the JDM and UKs, completely interchangable

Right I have been getting quite intermate with my head lights recently due to a few issues with a second set I was installing so I thought I would pass on my knowledge First of all ... The UK Headlights have an 8 pin connector block The JDM/US lights have an 6 pin connector block therefore they are not a direct plug and play swap The difference is that that the UK lights use a self leveling system (red and blue wires) where as the JDM/US uses a manual system On the JDM/US lights the 6 pins/wiring is arranged in the following configuration (diagram is looking from the wire side of the block not looking at the pins) The Red and Black wire on the top row goes directly to the Xenon invertor and they are slightly thicker as there are two black wires (its Obvious when you see it) Here a paint version of the JDM headlight wiring loom [ The bulbs are: Indicator: 20mm wedge (commonly known as a T20) Side Light: 10mm Wedge (commonly known as a 501) Xenon Headlight bulb: ( 35w D2R) Stock rating is 4600k The higher the K (kelvon) rating the bluer the bulb (not any brighter as most people think) High Beam bulb: H7 55w The fuses are located in the fuse box behind the battery. There is a multitude of fuses 1x 15amp per Xenon bulb (dipped) 1x 10amp per halogen (High) Note the rest of the cluster can work with a single fuse blown as the fuses are per bulb, (confused me for a while). Displays symptoms of a blown bulb. Just thought some of this info might be useful for someone one day
