  1. Of course it is. I wouldn't not buy a great car just because of the image.
  2. For what a 370 costs, there is nothing to touch it in terms of pound to performance. If you can't afford or don't want to spend extra to move up a level, then the 370 is a great buy if you just fancy a new car. For me, it wasn't that different to justify the cost to change, and I decided that if I was going to change cars then I was going to do it properly. Nothing wrong with either route really, each to their own and all that. Would rather pick up a base 370 than a GT86/BRZ, that's for sure.
  3. Fair point, but F1 is a bit different to LM where you get massive speed and braking differentials between cars, and the race is set over 3000 miles not just 180. I guess I just feel that while the DW is not the perfect race car for many reasons, it's shape with regards to overtaking isn't one of them.
  4. Nah, I don't buy it. Racing drivers don't drive that close to vehicles they're overtaking unless they're being complete idiots, as they're likely to take themselves out too. Enough cars overtook the DW at the weekend safely to prove that the shape is perfectly safe enough to go racing with.
  5. It's got a couple of mahoosive lights on the rear quarters, there's no mistaking how wide the vehicle is.
  6. No chance, I know your wife too well
  7. Evoque. New car trumps old car every time.

  9. If it's noise you're after, then you won't do better than a set of decats. Will make far more of a difference than altering the intake will IMHO.

    a bit confused!

Can you go and tell everyone on the 911 forums that as well please?
  11. You really, really don't want to know the reason why I don't ever want to camp at Houx.
  12. Can't think of a worse campsite than Houx if I'm honest. I'll either be going with Speedchills, camping at my regular chateau in Sille le Phillipe, or I may just sleep in the car and do a very brief weekend on the cheap. Can't make my mind up at the mo!
  13. Staying at home If you book a hotel NOW you might be okay, but you'll miss the atmosphere. Camp either at the circuit or at one of the many chateaus around LM itself.
  14. Frickin' hell mate, that must've been an absolute nightmare for you, that's a really long time to be stuck down with pain like that. Fingers crossed for you. hope the op is a complete success
  15. Toyota (incl Nakajima) have been in to see the Deltawing crew to apologise. Top marks, real sportsmanship There was a nice press conference from the team this morning with all the drivers and the designer, all seemed pretty upbeat despite everything that happened. Franchitti understandably peeved that despite him doing more testing of the car than anyone, he didn't get a chance to race it.
  16. You're not kidding, if you're anything like me you've been eagerly looking out the window and desperate to go for a drive, which isn't helped by hearing performance cars drive past: There's an original Mini, mk2 vaguely rally spec Escort, classic Impreza tubby and a silver 350 down my road alone, I'm sure they're driving past on purpose! What did you do to your elbow to need surgery matey?
  17. High five, fellow non-driver post-surgery!
  18. You're miles off the pace if you think a) outside of F1, any driver would knowingly punt another driver off the track, especially one he's not even directly racing, and that the Deltawing was getting more attention than the Toyota hybrids. This isn't a specific Jap-only race, this is LM and you'd probably have found the two companies wanting to help each other in a Euro and US dominated race. Besides, the Nissan stuff was limited to the engine and some massive sponsorship: This is a Highcroft car, not a Nissan one.
  19. You're not serious? Nakajima was careless in the extreme and it was 100% his fault, but it really wasn't done on purpose. "Get out of my way, you stupid f*cking tricycle!"

    Oh Nuts!

Bloody hell, that price has shot up from when I bought mine then

8 different types IIRC, and if you take your car to Nissan they can check which one you have and order you one up for the next day or the day after. Cost is about £8, best to get two for that price in case it happens again.
  22. Ox is definitely better than Lennon. Both are better than Milner, who I'd swap for Walcott.
  23. Played a bit of it the other week, it's okay. Well styled, but the action is a bit naff and I don't see myself sticking with it.
