  1. I've just had both sills fully done on the MX-5 and that cost me £200, so probably around that ball park I guess.
  2. Wish I had two dykes here, I'm bored at home today.
  3. With for me. I just find the 350 odd-looking without a spoiler.
  4. I thought you just bought a big 4x4 to enable you to drive in all conditions!
  5. Rightfully they only have to do what the manufacturer says, which is the rotate and regrease sadly Good luck, let us know how you get on.
  6. Might possibly help if you told us what the other car actually is
  7. Right, forget the warranty, that's not going to help you here. Your argument is with the supplying dealer. You pointed out a fault within the first three months of ownership, so it'll be presumed that the fault was there from the time you bought it. Take it back to them, and ask them again to repair it. If they won't then get that in writing, along with you asking them to do it and dates of exactly when you originally asked them. Get a copy of the Nissan tech document stating the fault and how to repair, and then get that repair done yourself. Take the bill and go to SCC, you have an easy case here under the SOGA. Make sure you have all the correct paperwork though, especially with regards to dates.
  8. Positive discrimination exists in most industries these days, the fact it's in motorsport should cause no surprises.
  9. Kinda what I was thinking, Colin. You whole case hinges on the exact wording of the warranty policy, so post it up and lets have a look at it. Failing that, your argument is with the supplying dealer but you don't mention when you got your car, or whether you've given them a chance to repair it. More details are needed here.
  10. I was in that 1%, and it cost me more to go back and get the master changed as well due to how long it takes to bleed the clutch then if I'd just changed both in the first place. Change both slave and master at the same time, the extra part is peanuts in relation to the overall cost.

    Toyota FT 86

Average looks, average engine, by all accounts average drive. No ta.
  12. Much, much better. I may even prefer this to the 458, and I'm not a fan of red cars either.
  13. You have (I assume) a Failside-kitted Zed. Your car automatically makes a standard 1.6 Focus look pretty

    Tyre Pressure 19"

Wheel size doesn't determine tyre pressure, the specific tyre brand and type do As a rule, start with 35psi all round and adjust to suit.
  15. Just to add that it's a good idea to keep all your posts in one thread, makes life much easier for people to help you

    BMW Thefts

If people werent so lazy as to demand these stupid keyless entry systems in the first place, this would be a non-starter. Joe Public, you're an idiot.

  18. Hire a garage and keep it locked up, and SORN it? Remove the battery beforehand and pop a steering lock on it or something should be pretty unstealable. Not sure if that's something easy to find in your area though, just another option.
  19. Ah, I see. So what did the HA say when you reported this two months ago?
  20. What did he say? I kinda guess what you said If it's been two years, that's ridiculous. Why have you waited so long? Start recording dates and times, contact the council every single time, just start being a pest really. If it's that bad they'll sort it, if you're exaggerating then they won't.
  21. No, it's not. Read your insurance documents: It will state something along the lines of (nicked from the current Admiral policy): You (not just you Vik, everyone) agreed to this when you signed up, and failure to do so constitutes a breach of contract on your part. As such, this means that they do not have to cover you if you've broken the terms. This isn't rocket science, it's not a matter of opinion, it's not heresay: It's contract law, something that has been around since the dawn of time. It's black and white, plain and simple. Now, the only possible thing you could argue about is whether uprated brake discs and pads count as a material change. If you don't think it does, then fine. Go to court and argue your case, with absolutely no proof other than your opinion, against a room full of incredible expensive solicitors who will make you look silly and quote a million examples of case law at you. Or you could just tell your insurance company, like you agreed to do in the first place and let them make the decision. If they will charge you a lot extra or won't cover you, then take your business elsewhere next year. Just for absolute clarity, this wasn't meant as a rant against you Vik, so please don't take it personally. It just so happens that you wrote something very clear that I could quote easily.
  22. Okay, well start at the start then for those of us without crystal balls What does he do? When does he do it? When did it start? What did he say when you spoke to him about it? Details man, details!
  23. He's a jobless wonder who does nothing so probably driven by boredom! So you haven't spoken to him yet then? Try that first, you might be surprised.
