  1. I didn't say it wasn't factual. I said the data wasn't comparable. Different drivers, different days, different weather, different setups, etc.
  2. Ah yes, there. Completely useless in terms of comparing stuff, but great for pub banter.
  3. Probably cheaper to fly to Oz and watch F1 there than go to Silverstone! Supposed to be great, a much wider support programme too.
  4. Please not camo, that's horrendous! Any reason why not yellow?
  5. Why would you want 17s? Aside from looks, there's no benefit that I can see from putting bigger, heavier wheels on a track slag.
  6. They really are massive cars, and tbh I think the size puts me off a fair bit more than anything. Even the 350Z can feel a bit big on the roads sometimes.
  7. I've stuck with stock tyre sizes on the '5, which are 185/60/14. I've left it on purpose like that as I like the handling like that, the extra sidewall flex gives you great feedback and allows the chassis to really shine. I would stick with what you have, certainly until you've had a couple of trackdays in it to know how it feels. Skinnier tyres means more oversteer too, does an E36 really need that? How much are 888s in those sizes compared with if you were buying new in 195?
  8. What do they weigh in comparison to the stock Zed seats?

    Track day brakes

 I have no idea why I'm so easy on the brakes, have been like it with every car I've ever owned so I guess it's my driving style more than anything. Doesn't seem to hamper my driving in any way, I do wonder how much quicker I could be if I was a bit more agressive with it though.

    Track day brakes

I've done Bedford before on stock brakes in a HR coupe and it was fine. Okay, ultimate stopping power wasn't as good as my ragtop with the PF stuff all round, but I didn't get close to boiling the fluid or overheating anything. It's all about being sensible and knowing the limits of your car, and admittedly I'm very easy on brakes anyway. For doing two trackdays and then selling the Zed, I'd rather keep the money in my pocket.
  11. Lol where did you get those times from?!

    Track day brakes

If you're moving, then I wouldn't bother upgrading the brakes full stop, just keep your sessions short and take care of the brakes. They're perfectly fine as stock as long as you don't go mad with them.
  13. Really? Do you not feel a bit, how can I put this, somewhat unarmed during our debates? ;)
  14. Look at the prices of consumables, and then ask yourself if it's still affordable. Brakes, tyres, servicing, shocks, turbos, exhausts, usual stuff than can break. If you can, then go for it. Factor in a big bill just in case (engine or gearbox), and again ask yourself if you can drop that money to get it working again.
  15. But I see no men in that picture I'm pretty sure at least three of them used to be.
  16. Quick Google says that the receivers are paired with the hardware from factory, and cannot be switched out for another. This may have happened somewhere down the line, so you need to return the whole lot if we get no joy.
  17. Are the batteries round the right way? Lights come on on the devices?
  18. This thread gets the Official Ekona Seal Of Approval
  19. Usually you need to install the software, then plug it in. Try removing everything and then start again, and do it that way round.
  20. And another daft question, what do the instructions say?
  21. It's a 2004 car, so price accordingly. Add maybe £500 for your mods.
