  1. I've stuck with stock tyre sizes on the '5, which are 185/60/14. I've left it on purpose like that as I like the handling like that, the extra sidewall flex gives you great feedback and allows the chassis to really shine. I would stick with what you have, certainly until you've had a couple of trackdays in it to know how it feels. Skinnier tyres means more oversteer too, does an E36 really need that? How much are 888s in those sizes compared with if you were buying new in 195?
  2. What do they weigh in comparison to the stock Zed seats?

    Track day brakes

 I have no idea why I'm so easy on the brakes, have been like it with every car I've ever owned so I guess it's my driving style more than anything. Doesn't seem to hamper my driving in any way, I do wonder how much quicker I could be if I was a bit more agressive with it though.

    Track day brakes

I've done Bedford before on stock brakes in a HR coupe and it was fine. Okay, ultimate stopping power wasn't as good as my ragtop with the PF stuff all round, but I didn't get close to boiling the fluid or overheating anything. It's all about being sensible and knowing the limits of your car, and admittedly I'm very easy on brakes anyway. For doing two trackdays and then selling the Zed, I'd rather keep the money in my pocket.
  5. Lol where did you get those times from?!

    Track day brakes

If you're moving, then I wouldn't bother upgrading the brakes full stop, just keep your sessions short and take care of the brakes. They're perfectly fine as stock as long as you don't go mad with them.
  7. Really? Do you not feel a bit, how can I put this, somewhat unarmed during our debates? ;)
  8. Look at the prices of consumables, and then ask yourself if it's still affordable. Brakes, tyres, servicing, shocks, turbos, exhausts, usual stuff than can break. If you can, then go for it. Factor in a big bill just in case (engine or gearbox), and again ask yourself if you can drop that money to get it working again.
  9. But I see no men in that picture I'm pretty sure at least three of them used to be.
  10. Quick Google says that the receivers are paired with the hardware from factory, and cannot be switched out for another. This may have happened somewhere down the line, so you need to return the whole lot if we get no joy.
  11. Are the batteries round the right way? Lights come on on the devices?
  12. This thread gets the Official Ekona Seal Of Approval
  13. Usually you need to install the software, then plug it in. Try removing everything and then start again, and do it that way round.
  14. And another daft question, what do the instructions say?
  15. It's a 2004 car, so price accordingly. Add maybe £500 for your mods.
  16. He could reject it, but it would be a long process and a bit drawn out. Might not even be acceptable in this case, as it's just a noise and doesn't effect the working of the car, so the court may not rule in his favour. Maybe. I agree with you, they can regrease for free and hope it doesn't come back within a reasonable period (3 mths probably) else they'll be doing it again, or the kit could be fitted. If the OP buys the kit and the garage fits for free, I'd say that's a win/win all round.
  17. Ace Of Base were excellent. I bought the Daphne & Celeste album which I guess most folks would find embarrassing, but it's far from the worst album I own. It's more enjoyable than any of the Eminem albums I own, for example.
  18. Nope, if not picked up on before the car is delivered then it's classed as a fault, it's on the dealer to fix from this point. Why would it be on the buyer to fix? If the buyer didn't pick up on a slight tick from the engine and it went bang two days later, would you expect the buyer to sort that too? On a private sale I agree with you, but not when buying from a dealer. To the OP, no harm in printing the instructions off, the dealer may appreciate the heads up, just remember to say that the noise definitely wasn't there when you looked at the car originally.
  19. Glad it's not just me then! I was quoted a Jan delivery when ordered back in Oct, however when I picked up our Transit in Dec (ordered at the same time) the dealer said that on new Wildtrak orders they were quoting a Sept delivery, so I didn't expect to get it in Jan at that point. Ford do need to step up production on these things at launch, we had similar issues with the last gen Ranger too.
  20. The new ford ranger is a bit of a beast its our best selling pickup by a long way at the moment had a lot of local farmers move from navara and L200 into them for the increased towing capacity I've had my Wildtrak on order for months, still no delivery date
  21. I'm a Ford Ranger fan, have had them all over the last ten years. You'll be lucky to see 27mpg on average, even driving like a granny. These things are so heavy that they rape fuel big time. More than comfortable to use everyday though, mine does and it's lovely.
