Sorry, just going to have to jump in here. You say the 050As have a soft side wall: I hope you're not comparing that to the VUS? The VUS have a very soft sidewall, which is why they offer such outstanding feel at the expense of grip (wet and dry). 050A is an OEM tyre on bothe the HR 350Z, 370Z and 9x7 Porsches, hardly saloon car tyres As an all-round tyre, the 050A is much better than the VUS on everything other than feedback, but they're not exactly bad on that account. For the money, the VUS are very good and they're the only budget tyre that I actually recommend. If you can spend more though then the 050A are superior, although with the MPSS being the same price and a gigaton better makes that a bit redundant.

They're completely different tyres fella, not even close in terms of construction or tread pattern so I wouldn't mix. What I would do is stump up for four new tyres, then chuck the other two up for sale to help make up the difference.

MPSS are the best tyres full stop, but don't mix tyres on the car: replace all four.

Scarily that's actually less annoying than the current one.

Saw this today from one of the mods on the 911 forum. It's in reference to a bloke who has a 997TT, took it in for some warranty work and got a normal 997 C2S with sports exhaust on as a courtesy car. Remarking over how ihe preferred to have a slower car that made a great noise over the faster one that was quieter, he said this: "I prefer a symphony: the horizon can wait." It's not very often I find great quotes like that on the internet: At least, not ones that are serious rather than amusing, but I thought that was a cracking turn of phrase. Certainly sums up how I feel about cars too, and why I chose my 911 over a GTR. Cue the starry bra pics, but I just thought that was worth sharing.

It's not picking on you, but you have to admit that it is very distracting and it is larger than many of your posts. A sig should be a subtle personal touch, not a naked fat bloke in the street yelling at the top of his voice.

Should sound amazing To be fair, we'd probably be less arsey about your sig if wasn't the same size as most of your posts. Any chance you could do the forum a favour and reduce it to normal size? Not necessarily as small as mine, but even just to standard size but keeping the caps and blue would make the forum a much easier on the eye place to browse.

No, you're right. It's a quality exhaust, however this one appears to have missed the QA a bit.
