You're kidding, far more chance of something happening on a TA than on a hill climb. Tbh matey, unless you can afford to write the car off then you shouldn't try it. Any motorsport carries risks, and as you need to be at 10/10ths to get anywhere there's always a chance that you could bin it. Hell, you get that same risk with a normal trackday, but it's tenfold when you're competitive. Not trying to put you off, I'm half tempted myself, but don't deceive yourself into thinking that there's less chance of you damaging your p&j.

TA will not be cheap, even at Clubman class. Hill climbs are about as cheap as you can get, but personally I'd rather race with others on track.

If you were looking at Pirelli prices, then the Michelin PSS are the ones to go for. If you cannot stretch that far, then something like the FK453s would be worth a punt.

Then how the hell can you afford a £6K sports car?! My dig isn't with you, it's with the system. Although I would suggest your observation probably isn't great if you managed to get 12pts in 3 years... £800 is peanuts with 12pts, but have you included all the mods on that quote?

Eeep, there's a good question! For an early one, I'd be looking at £6K really,but some have got great cars for a grand less.

Try before you buy: I was up there back in June testing every seat they had to see if there was anything better than my el cheapo Sparco Sprint seats, and everything else I tried (ignoring the £1K Reverie stuff) were both less comfortable and less supportive. The fact none of them had major weight savings either meant that I'm very happy the cheapest Sparco seats are actually the best for me
