  1. It makes zero noise, has zero charisma, and runs out of puff FAR quicker than any petrol car ever could. The fact that it's quick makes no odds to me, I've driven cars that quick on plenty of occasions but they've not excited me because of the speed. Give me a dirty old '60s V8 that has a 7L engine with 120bhp but bags of character over something like the Tesla.
  2. You're welcome!
  3. I reckon if you catch them regardless of what you do with regards to angle and speed, then they're too high. Go measure them definitely.
  4. If what they are using follows the legal guidelines, I'm not sure what you can do. However, were they there before you moved in or bought your car? If yes then I'd say tough luck, that's your fault. If no, then how much consulting did they do before the install? I don't know if they need to consult, but it might give you a window. To be completely honest though matey, there is no reason that you shouldn't be able to traverse a standard set of humps in a standard 370Z. Either you need to change your angle of attack, or slow down, or even speeding up can help! And really, if they're already there then there's very little chance of them ever removing them, or not installing more. Normally if you dip one wheel on and one wheel off any speedbump, you should be fine. Got any pics of the ones in question?
  5. I'm not so sure that would be a success, it's not like the BRZ86s are flying off the shelves (although they are more common now than they used to be). Carbon monocoque is a good idea though, I hadn't thought of that one.
  6. What would make me buy a new Zed? I honestly don't know. I'd want a revvy NA engine to at least 7.5K rpm. I'd want a simple interior with a cohesive design that is either analogue or digital, but not a mix of both. I'd want a boot that isn't compromised on space (350 had the strut bar, 370 is too shallow). I'd want simple manual 'box with no fussy electronics. I'd want 18" wheels MAX, and I'd want the weight down to below 1500kg. I'd want MPG to be closer to 30mpg than 20mpg. I'd want it to look like a Zed and not like a GT-R. I'd want more options and less standard equipment, so I can choose not to have stuff I don't want. I want it available in loud colours rather than multiple shades of silver. I'd want a long nose but with minimal overhangs. I want a fully adjustable seat and steering wheel combination using lightweight motors. And you know the worst bit? I won't get any of that. Not one single bit. And I didn't even mention price at all.
  7. I wouldn't include that in a major service, no. I also wouldn't change it unless it was the colour of arse.
  8. Bookmarked to watch tonight
  9. Good point, Porsche in Colchester were also happy to do the same once they knew me. Not sure he expected me to drop the roof in a 991 targa when it was raining though, had some explaining to do when I took it back
  10. My local Mazda dealership are awesome, they just chuck you the keys too and let you go. I've never had any issues getting test drives in cars, apart from two notable exceptions: 1. Evo 9, for the missus. They wouldn't let her drive it as she was under 25. We went to Subaru and they her drive the Impreza, so we bought one instead. 2. Esprit turbo, for me. Wanted the deal done before I tested it, which simply wasn't going to happen. Walked away and bought a 350Z instead...! Some dealers just think you're not serious, so don't make the effort. Sometimes they're right, sometimes they're not.
  11. No combustion engine = no interest. Not a slight on you Adrian, I know people here will be interested so it's a good link to share, just my personal opinion.
  12. Agreed, take your money elsewhere.
  13. The first 500 were sold to anyone who placed an order during a CL game last year, not to the footballers involved. Big promotion thing at the time, I remember being tempted to pick the phone up myself... Long lead times on Fords in nothing new, I waited 18mths just for my truck!
  14. If that is your background Jeff E, then I'm even more surprised you're not aware of the basics such as the BS numbers in use, and the testing procedures involved in obtaining one. Is supermarket fuel the same quality as big brand fuels? Probably not, that's why it's cheaper. Is it of a sufficiently decent quality to use in every single car produced in the last 20 years, including performance ones? Of course it is, and to suggest otherwise is nonsense. If you want to needlessly spend the extra money then please do so, but don't try and skip the obvious basic details in an attempt to fool the members on here: They're not as daft as you think.
  15. Okay, so that still makes sense, but again why was this not picked up in the survey? What did it say regarding sewage? Ask the owner what they've paid per annum for the last few years, has it changed at all? Who owns the station? Who is responsible if it breaks? What contingency is in place when it does stop working? None of this would stop me buying the house, but I'd want the answers. And I'd certainly want words with whoever did your survey!

MPS3 are lower spec than the old MPS2, so 100% the MPSS.
  17. That would be a foul pumping station, not a water pump station. Which one is it? It's a good question, albeit not that important.

It's not just the performance: These tyres are outlasting everything else by a huge margin, so they may cost 20% more but last 50% longer. They actually work out as the cheapest to own, long term.
  19. Gouged, not gauged. Took me a while to realise what you meant! You've accepted the car, so if the damage was there when you picked it up you either should've rejected the car until sorted, or haggled it into the cost originally. Who's to say the damage wasn't done during your ownership? Devils advocate, of course. The buckled wheel I would say is down to them, as like you say it's clear you've not knocked them, but really I think you have to be sucking the tyres up yourself. Unless you play very nicely and see if they'll do it for you, but I'm not sure I would if I were them.
  20. If you're not connected to mains water (which you should've noticed after the survey), then how else are you going to get water? If it's not a large sum, then suck it up. If it is, walk away. Does the service charge cover all maintenance too? As in, if the thing breaks down completely you're not responsible for rebuild costs as well. I'm assuming it's out in the sticks a bit? Seems odd to have a new house not connected to the mains.
  21. I kept checking to see if he'd ever been back, but he never has. Shame.
  22. Pfft, I'd just buy the cheapest and keep a slush fund just in case. It's only what you should do with any car, the 350 is no exception. I really wouldn't worry about the whole fuel thing. There is nothing you can do about it, so just get a car that okay everywhere else.
  23. I really hope it's rubbish again.
  24. Well, we've never been in the same room together!
