dan saying about the big gay wing being offensive well gay can mean a few things saying something @*!# because it had a homosexual on it just points to one thing See, I didn't read it as the problem being the guy was homosexual, I read it as the problem was he's a camp homosexual. Maybe that's just how I read it? It's a good point though, and what I like about the LGBT community as a whole is how they reclaimed the insult 'queer', and nowadays (to my ears) it's not really insulting at all and is very rarely used because of that. It's hard to use a word as an insult if the other party uses it all the time as well, and that's something they should be very proud of achieving.

Is there? I don't think I can name too many. Not trying to be argumentative, I'm more worried I'm missing the obvious! The closest I can get is Lily Savage, but then that for me isn't quite the same as being camp. I couldn't tell you why, though.

I totally agree with you, I was just pointing out how useless the government are How much is in a line of coke, anyway? Or an average pill? Be nice to know.

The standard is, as you say, 0.5m at 45deg from exhaust at 3/4 max rpm. Some places have different minds on what 3/4 rpm is though! Stock car is about 87dB from memory, when I had mine done.

Brilliant, more mobile chicanes. Just what the sport needs.

What does the fact that the presenter is a homosexual have to do with it? I reported this post a few days back so refrained from saying something in the vein hope something would be said to you about it. Apparently not. If you're such a bigoted homophobe that you can't watch a programme which features someone who's gay that's your issue, not the programmes. You don't need to bring it into the general forum for all to see. You could have quite frankly said "I watched the jump and it was crap" I'm going to have to choose my words very carefully here, so as not to offend anyone or give completely the wrong impression of myself and my opinions, but I think that's a tad harsh mate if I'm honest. I don't have any issues with gay people: Granted, I don't have any friends any more who I know to be gay, but I have done in the past and have happily gigged at gay-only venues. Of course, that proves nothing, but it's the best I can do without saying "I'm not homophobic, but...". Regular people who just happen to be gay do not bother me in the slightest. However, overly camp homosexual men annoy the hell out of me. They don't offend me, I don't want to go and beat them all up or denounce them or anything like that, I just find the whole camp persona to be immensely irritating. In the same way that I find overly butch hetero guys to be just as irritating ("Yeah boi, he was giving me evils so I smacked him in the face and downed another Carling!"), if I turn on a TV programme that featured either of those two stereotypes then I wouldn't watch it for that reason. For example, Graham Norton. Can't stand the bloke, hugely irritating. Danny Dyer. Nope, hate his silly accent and his geezah attitude. For Jetpilot to state that he didn't like the show because it was presented by an overly camp man isn't, for me, an example of a raging homophobe. Now, Jetpilot may very well be a homophobe anyway, I don't know. However, I don't think the terms he used can specifically be classed as homophobic. That's probably a wider debate (indeed, one of my liberal-loving friends would state that only the people being offended can judge what's homophobic/racist or not), but I hope that's come across in the right way. Someone brought up the use of the word gay in Big Gay Wing the other day too. I've always wondered why nobody really minds that on here, seeing as it's so common. I wonder if we have any gay members on here who could pass comment? I'd genuinely be interested to know.

Whilst I get your point, it's exactly the same with alcohol: There's no specific limit you can practically use anyway. Some people can take four units, some two, some just the one unit and be over the limit. There's no hard and fast rule about when alcohol leaves your system, hence lots get done the morning after. Really, this is just as clear as the alcohol rules, i.e. not very.

He said fun, which rules that diesel Scooby out.

530i I still think a Scooby wagon is a great shout though, or the Forester if you don't want the chav image.

Tyres, tyres, tyres. Sort ASAP, especially in this weather.

It's a good idea, but what you really want to do is to get a bunch of Zeds with different setups in the one place on the one day, and record it that way. Maybe Wales?

Oddly, this does nothing for me at all. The mk2 RS was a beauty, perfectly styled between aggression and usability, but this just seems a little safe. Five doors too, like the Clio RS, just doesn't scream sporty to me. No doubt this will be point to point rapid, but I wonder if it'll be losing the certain something that RS models should have.

Ladies and gents, I give you the COTY: The Porsche Cayman GT4. 3.8L, 385bhp, manual 'box only, £64K. GT3 front suspension, bespoke rear suspension, LSD, torque vectoring, same size brakes as the GT3 and the same seat option as the 918. Ring time of sub 7:40 (so on a par with the 997 GT3), this is the new GT3 given that you can actually get hold of these for reasonable money. I don't care that the 488 is out this year too, this is going to wipe the floor with everything at any price bracket. If I had the cash, I'd have one tomorrow. Oh my.
-
And yet, despite this, there's really nothing we can do quickly and easily unless we want to go killing many civilians. Which we don't, and shouldn't. They really do hold all the cards here.
-
Not bad. More attractive initially than the 458, and the packaging of the power unit is interesting. Hopefully it makes a more pleasing noise than the Cali T, as even with the roof down it's too quiet.
-
Not so far, no. I would still like to get the dodgy brakes sorted first, and I've a spare ABS unit I need to swap out but it's just time at this point. I think I'll be looking at April or May at this rate How about you bud, anything sorted?

Nice list

But that's exactly the same result as you get with a bigger engine. Given that the DE redlines anywhere from 6500 to 7500, I wouldn't call that particularly low revving. It's not a diesel! That said, I do agree with you that it's down to personal choice. As a rule for a road car, I'd go for the lightest flywheel you can but a clutch that is rated at maybe 10% above OEM capacity. Keeps it light and easy to drive that way.
